The mounting frame will extend out to 23" so it will even fit if your ceiling joists (or trusses) are 24" on center.
The telescoping mounting frame will extend up to 22-1/2" which is the distance between ceiling joist that are on 24" centers. Anything greater will require additional framing. I have included a picture showing the frame compressed and extended.
You can infinitely adjust the fan position between joists from 14" to 24" on center.
What is the amperage pulled of this product on 120 volts?

Not sure if you can from design specs but mechanically that should work.
it is a ceiling exhaust . having said that during installation i did not find any restrictions which could possibly stop anyone from installing it on a side wall . Direction... the least amount of bends in the duct the more the efficiencies you get . think also of moisture condensate and which surface will it fall on . . if on side wall , make sure the cuircuit is facing towards the ceiling so that condensate does not fall on it. .disclaimer .. I am not an electrician , get proper advice from certified personnel's . Consult before you do anything which the product is not designed for.

what is the diamention or size of this fan?
The housing dimensions are 10-1/2" x 11-3/8" x 7-5/8" and the grille measures 13" x 14".
It has an 11" by 12" opening in the ceiling and is about 8" deep (above the ceiling).
The installation instructions suggest a hole be cut 11" X 12". The actual size of the fan case is 10-1/2" X 11-1/8". I have included a photo of my installation. The hole is 11" X 12" and you can see the gap around the edges.

It says that it can be used with 4 in or 6 in duct, although as I mentioned in my review I think that the 4 in duct would make the fan a bit noisier than using a 6 in duct. It does not come with an adapter.
