can I glue it over a concrete floor

can I glue it over a concrete floor
Asked by: rick
Good afternoon Rick. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. Yes this floor can be installed over a concrete sub-floor. It can be floated or glued directly to the sub-floor. Here is a link to the installation instructions for this floor. https://bit.ly/2sDGUE9 I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day.

What color is this floor ? Looks grey but want to confirm

Asked by: Wo42
I agree that the pull-down thumbnail pic looks grey, but then the full-size picture looks total brown. With all the colors they have, it's weird they don't have a true grey brown (weathered) color.

Are there any wood stains available that match?

I want to finish our oak treads and riser and would like the colors to match or be similar.
Asked by: DC
Yes, golden oak. to get the best match will depend on how many coats you apply.

can this product be nailed down?

Asked by: jb
Yes, it can be nailed down, but it I would suggest several things to consider . . . do you have an existing wood floor to nail to, or will you be applying a 3/4" plywood base to nail to? And when you nail to the floor, make sure you nail between the locking tongue & groove, per panel, at an angle, so that the nail is hidden.

We are 80% done with our floors and have at least seven boxes that will be returned. Some of the floor is beautiful, but if you didn't over order like we did, you would have trouble finishing your floor, especially given it's a special order product. I wan't bothered by the smaller planks, what I didn't like was the amount of planks that have defects. Some are split, some had drops of stain, but the biggest issue was uneven staining. The bulk of what we are returning has variations in the staining that make the flooring look like it has had water damage. Having to sort through them all as we go, and then having to return them to the store afterward is a big hassle. Sometimes I think that quality control didn't even look at them...why would they think someone would use them? Otherwise we really like the look of the floor and hope it will hold up well over time.

Not many short boards and stain color is very consistent. Ordered 20% extra but will be returning 6 unopened boxes since very few boards were found to be not ideally usable . Not a single scratch during installation and furniture moving ,nor after two weeks so far of family and dog walking/ living normal life in the house. Floor feels really solid and Shine is beautiful ! Has a little more grain and texture than what was on our sample, and is also slightly darker than sample appeared ....but looks so good that those little differences don’t bother us at all now that the floor is in. Good value for the money ( did a ton of comparison shopping for months before choosing this ).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A lot of damaged pieces The pictures do not show how knotty the wood is... which for the most part, I don’t mind. BUT a lot of the wood has huge holes - like quarter sized - which I was not prepared for. This resulted in needing more flooring (to avoid the super knotty pieces and account for several broken boxes) and we are now waiting, waiting, waiting. It is also taking twice as long to install it as was quoted to us, but that’s another story. Recommendations: 1. I wish the sample in the store and in the photos showed the knotty wood... I don’t mind the character but I wasn’t prepared for THIS much character. The pieces that aren’t so beat up look very beautiful though. 2. Carefully watch your install and have them adjust beat up pieces into less noticeable areas (ie. Under cabinets, dark corners, etc)... but don’t hold all the beat up pieces until the end - it will look funky. Notes: We installed more than 900sqft of this floor in our entryway, dining room, kitchen, and a half bathroom.

To save money and feel proud; I installed this flooring myself (over 600 sq ft). What I thought might take a weekend turned into 4-5 days of late night work. Removal of the old and install took time. I stapled each board down and glued the seam (4 bottles of glue at $10 each). It looks great. I bought 30 cases and returned 5 (3 of which I hadn't even opened). There wer some bad boards; but really not many at all. I had concerns of people saying that they had mis colors; but I opened up 3 boxes and ran out of room to put them around. ALL the boards were the same color. Great product, looks like it was made well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Diasappointed The in store sample seemed to perfectly match our existing flooring. When it came, it’s very slightly more cinnamon/not quite as gold as our flooring. The product took 2-3 extra weeks more than the original estimated delivery date and another couple weeks to get 2 damaged boxes replaced. Unfortunately for us it is just barely skinnier so we have gaps as we tried lacing this with our existing 5” planks. There are a lot of short boards. I’m disappointed by number of boards that are damaged, have mismatched texture and or uneven/patchy finish. Luckily we will have lots of cabinets to cover some of the junky boards. Some of the boards are bowed a little too leading to more gaps. When they have so few long boards in each box it really bugs when the long ones are not straight or have a poor staining job. If we could have a do-over I would not get this product. We were in a time crunch and couldn’t wait another 3-5 weeks to return and order something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product This product is great quality, very easy to install, and looks beautiful. It is a little pricey, but compared to other products in its price range, I would say it is worth it. I damaged the floor slightly when moving new furniture into our house. I sanded the scratch smooth and applied matching stain and the floor is good as new. The only real downside is the lack of available transitions and stair nose. Those are VERY expensive and they do not sell a matching stair nose for the 3/8" engineered wood. I had to modify a stair nose made for 3/4" wood floor. I did not dock any stars for the transitions and stair nose as I am reviewing the flooring itself. I just wanted to point that out for those looking.

We first put it in our closet and it looked great. Loved the width and feel of the floor. We had an extra box left over so we decided to do our Master Bedroom with the hopes of doing our entire 2nd floor. We came back a few months later to buy 10 more boxes for our Master bedroom. Just installed it and It looks so chopped up. All the boxes were full of short pieces. Very few long pieces and several damaged pieces. Be aware if you are doing a large room that the majority of the pieces are short. Now we feel a little torn as to what to do about the rest of our 2nd floor.
