Hi there! Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. Laminated rosin paper or #15 builders felt (tar paper) acts as a moisture retarder and may be used to reduce movement caused by changes in subfloor moisture, thereby reducing cupping and warping. (This is especially helpful over crawl spaces and basements.) In addition, the use of these materials can give the flooring a more solid feeling, reduce sound transfer, prevent noise caused by minor irregularities and debris, and make it easier to slide the wood together across the surface of the subfloor. Kraft paper may be used to make the installation easier but DOES NOT serve any other purpose. For your convenience, please visit the following link to view the full installation recommendations for our solid 3/4" hardwood products. https://bit.ly/3tgmT5i We hope that this information is helpful. Please feel free to contact our Customer Services at 1-866-243-2726, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST., if you'd like additional assistance. Have a great day.
Hi there! Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. We do not use a traditional grading system, but classify our products by Good, Better, and Best performance classes. These classes are determined based on Janka ratings, finish type, and other factors. The Bruce - Country Natural - Hickory - C0610 falls under the Best Performance class; therefore, carrying a 50 year warranty. We hope that this information is helpful. Please feel free to contact our Customer Services at 1-866-243-2726, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST., if you'd like additional assistance. Have a wonderful day.
Hi Bob, Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your question. Beautiful hardwood floors are a product of nature and therefore, not perfect. The Hickory species has a board-to-board color variation that is more pronounced -- there will be random streaks with a variety of naturally prominent colors from very light cream to dark reddish brown to sometimes very black. We encourage you to view several actual samples of the product, before ordering what you need for your project. With multiple samples, you may be able to get a better idea of the color variation. Another option is possibly ordering one carton of the material to look at the product. We hope that this information is helpful. Please feel free to contact our Customer Services at 1-866-243-2726, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST., if you'd like additional assistance. Have a wonderful day!
Hey there Dee! While solid hardwood flooring does not have added formaldehyde into the product, solid wood does naturally have very small amounts of formaldehyde that emit, similar to many plants. The amounts are considered safe and in fact, solid hardwood flooring is recognized industry wide as a product that is recommended for people with chemical sensitivities. Please follow this link, https://bit.ly/3jhO9dx, to view our current FloorScore Certifications. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again by e-mail at productsupport@ahfproducts.com or by phone at 1-866-243-2726 Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 4:30 PM EST. Hi Jeni, Nothing is as striking and inviting as a home with true hardwood. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. All of our hardwood products have a Urethane coating, which contains Aluminum Oxide that is then UV cured. We hope that this information is helpful. Have a great day!
Its the width and quantity. 2-1/4width is $7.29(20 sq.ft a case). 3-1/4width is $8.91(22 sq.ft a case.). Yes both are same wood with different widths.
Hello Mike! Thank you for contacting AHF Products. Per the National Wood Flooring Association, micro beveled edges can be between .025" - .045", which would not be large enough to create a groove that something could catch on, but enough to give texture from one plank to the next. I hope this helps!
Just dry mop or you can use Rubbermaid revel wet mop
