Hi there!

Thank you for taking the time to enter your comments about this flooring product.

We highly recommend that you protect your floor from direct sunlight. The use of curtains and UV resistant film on large glass doors and windows is highly recommended.

Per information directly from our warranty:

"Changes in color due to aging, excessive moisture, exposure to sunlight or Ultra Violet rays (which may cause oxidation of finish/stain) is not considered a defect."

We hope that this information is helpful. Please feel free to contact our Customer Services at 1-866-243-2726, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST., if you'd like additional assistance.

Have a wonderful day. AHFProducts
DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE INTO VERY VERY VERY RUSTIC !!
I have been in the business for 46 years. this is the WORST quality of product i have ever saw !! You will notice that the box is not marked for grade. That is because it would not even make a #3 grade ( tavern grade) the first thing you will notice is all the black crayon marks on boards. ( i assume that black means rejected) every piece in the box is defective. SO the MAJOR question is at $4.99 a square foot who is price gouging Bruce or home depot ? REGARDLESS if you are going to try to cut out the bad parts expect to get about 15 - 20% coverage. will not buy again !!

Hello! Thank you very much for taking the time to enter your comments. It is important for us to hear feedback from our customers, and we thank you for taking the time to write us. It is our aim to provide quality products and services to our customers and to meet your expectations. Beautiful hardwood floors are a product of nature and therefore, not perfect. Our hardwood floors are manufactured in accordance with accepted industry standards, which permit grading deficiencies not to exceed 5%. These grading deficiencies may be of a manufacturing or natural type. When flooring is ordered, 5% must be added to the actual square footage needed for cutting and grading allowance (10% for diagonal installations). If you feel this is a manufacturing issue, you may go back to the flooring retailer where the material was purchased, with a copy of your receipt. A sales associate will be happy to file a claim on your behalf. We hope that this information is helpful. Please feel free to contact our Customer Services at 1-866-243-2726, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST., if you'd like additional assistance. Have a wonderful day. AHFProducts

I'm happy with the result
So this is my first encounter with uninstalled hardwood flooring fresh out of the box. I bought 8 boxes for a 11 by 13 bedroom. Only had less than 5 pieces that were truly unusable. I have just finished installing it yesterday. So far so good. let's see how it will turn out to be. Time will tell.

would like to give 3 1/2 stars. the wood is lovely and matched existing flooring perfectly. I needed to match a new floor to an existing hallway, and patch a water damaged section in adjoining room. Overall I am happy Considerations - budget for more wastage. many pieces had damaged edges, groove, tongue and some with finish flaws or knots on edges that would lead to splinters in near future. Also do not over acclimate the wood, it became very warped by the end of the project.

Overall it was good, I did have quite a few defective pieces in each box. I was able to use most of those on ends or narrow cut pieces against the wall. On box was particularly bowed which required a bit to close up the edges. I was pleased with the finished floor.

I really like the look, the floors are beautiful, my only issue is my install person said he lost a couple boxes worth during the install but since I didn't actually have to fight bent and warped product, I can't say it may not have been him
