The only existing wood floor it could be installed over is a minimum 3/4" thick solid hardwood flooring that has a maximum width of 6". Does this product 3 1/4 inch gunstock have square edges? I need it to look like my unfinished floors. I need it to be smooth without micro beveled edges.

Can this flooring be installed over an existing linoleum peeling stick tile flooring?

Home Depot only has us manufacture the hardwood for them so we do not manufacture any transition strips for this floor. Am I able to use this in my kitchen and living room? Or does it not hold up well in a kitchen setting with hot temperatures near the oven and humidity?
I have had it in my kitchen for 20 years and except for normal wear and tear it still looks amazing.

It is solid hardwood so it is more susceptible to damage from water and high humidity. You would want to be sure to keep mats in areas where higher moisture is likely and would want to be sure to clean up any spills quickly so as to prevent potential damage. I'm sorry you were unhappy with your Bruce Plano Natural Hickory 3/4" x 3 1/4" SHPL39M10S. Plano is a common grade floor which means it features a greater amount of visual character such as wider color and grain variation, mineral streaks, knots and small holes. These features are allowed to keep this product at a lower price point.

Unfortunately as we are not set up to sell our products directly any Warranty claims would have to be initiated back through the retailer the product was purchased through. The Plano Collection is part of Bruce’s Common Grade category which features a greater amount of visual character such as wider color and grain variation, mineral streaks, knots and small holes. With that said the floor should be able to be installed. If you are finding issues that you think are manufacturing related I would suggest reaching out to the store where you purchased the product to ask them to start a claim on your behalf. They'll take some information from you then reach out to their Bruce claims department to start a claim to have your concerns investigated.

On a large enough order occasionally you can run into a few cartons that have an abundance of short boards which is why it is important to pull from multiple cartons to effectively mix and blend things as you are installing.
