The key to preventing this laminate product from suffering moisture issues later on is to take every possible precaution prior to installation. Moisture of the subfloor, whether its concrete or hardwood, should be at a reasonable level before installing the laminate. Also, extra precaution can be taken in areas that may be exposed to high moisture by gluing the tongue and groove using our Armstrong Everseal joint glue. This will better protect the flooring from both subfloor moisture as well as topical moisture. Although there is not an exact amount of moisture that we can measure that the laminate can tolerate, it is warranted to stand up to topical moisture spills provided they are cleaned up in a timely manner. If standing water is left on the floor, the water can seep through to the High Density Fiberboard, cause it to swell, which will then cause buckling. The joint glue I mentioned will help to protect this issue from occurring if properly applied. The product number below is for the quarter round trim piece. The Home Depot will have to special order this trim piece for you. M51E3 I hope this is helpful.
