The entry level model in the Brush Master chromium chipper shredder family, this chipper comes with a 6.5 HP engine. This innovative chipper is designed with an adjustable deflector. The deflector provides multiple angles that can discharge directly into a container or garbage can or a standard outdoor trash can so there is no need for bagging. Self feeds and chips up to 2.25 in. Dia branches, turning yard waste into useful 1/4 in. mulch. Transforms 12 bags of yard waste into 1 bag of chips. Ideal for small weekend jobs and yard clean up. Highly portable and maneuverable.

chipper shredder works great! it always starts in 1-2...
chipper shredder works great! it always starts in 1-2 pulls and it also shreds leaves and twigs excellent! my only complaint is that the discharge is so strong, it blows away any basket or barrel we try to collect mulch in.
to work with it, we just blow mulch on the ground and pick up with a flat shovel.
it does do exactly what we want, reducing the plastic bags we fill and put by the street, by 60%-75%

Assembly out of the box was easy. Utilized the chipper immediately over the course to 2 straight days on a pile of yard debris that had accumulated over the past few months. Zero operational issues encountered. The machine handled the yard material with ease. The machine is compact in size, taking up less space in my tool shed, and it is comparatively light weight and easily maneuverable. This chipper is meeting my expectations.
(This is no big deal, but in addition to the chipper, the shipping box contained the safety goggles - as advertised - but not the gloves. Have plenty of those on hand anyway.)
