AnswerThis plant needs a dormant time, but your area would be too harse for a winter dormancy in the outdoors. You would want to put this in a garage near a window, or inside in a cool room in your home, also near a window. It should not "freeze". Summers outside with keeping an eye on your watering.

What I received was different what I ordered

I received the Bonsai on time. What I ordered is the one which tree stump is curved which is what I like most on the Bonsai. However what I received it different, the best part I like for the bonsai is nothing.
I understand each of the item will not be the same, but the mail part of the Bonsai should be very similar.
I was disappointed.

My mom kept the tree outdoor in the shade and followed the watering instructions. She was very happy at first now the tree is a brown dead twig. A refund would be in order for this failed Mother’s Day gift.

This is a great tree. I received it on March 11, 2014 and it was packaged very well and arrived in great condition soil still wet. I am posting a pic. taken April 27, 2014. I haven't trimmed it yet it has been growing so fast. It has lots of new growth. I would suggest buying this tree. Put it outside not in direct sunlight but where it gets plenty of light. Great Tree! Oh yes, it was also 12in tall from top of soil to top of leaves when I got it. It has grown 1/2in since then. And 1 more thing I live in southeast TX and I do check the soil every day. The heat can dry this plant out fast so I have to water it 1 a day to every other day.
