This was easy to assemble and effortless to use. It was very sturdy under the weight of something large and heavy. The appliance I needed to move was 5' long and I thought I would be able to occupy 1/2 the length (30") with this dolly, but in the end I had to turn the dolly around and use its shorter sides due to the depth of appliance and not wanting the dolly to press up against the hollow base of the appliance. So I balanced/distributed the weight across the dolly by centering it and then creating a makeshift grid of 6 boards to accommodate a short move to another spot in my garage. This dolly and the Ford 1.5 ton mechanical scissor jack made an impossible feat possible and easy for one small person, and it was well worth the modest cost, considering what else I might move in the future!
