Overall I like these Bulbrite 2.5W, dimmable, LED bulbs. Glad they came in a 4 pack! Not only are they energy efficient versus a 25 watt incandescent equivalent, but they’re also visually pleasing with the flame tip (CA10 style - stands for candle angular), warm 2200k color temperature (amber like fire), long filament look, and low profile components. I’m also pleased that our Lutron toggle dimmers (model TG-600 which are for incandescent and halogen bulbs only) work with these bulbs. The TG-600 dimmer doesn’t work perfectly (i.e., the bulbs are off at the lowest point of the toggle), but at least there's no flickering or strobing. If considering these bulbs, visit the manufacture’s website to see which Lutron, Levitron, and Legrand dimmers are compatible with these bulbs (visit www.bulbrite.com/led, choose your bulb and view the pdf).
The real glass (not plastic) bulbs are tinted orange (likely to achieve the warm color temperature), but they’re still pleasing to look at when the lights are on or off. I think the long filament makes them look like a candle flame (without the flicker of fire of course). My wife would disagree with me because she prefers the real filament of an incandescent bulb verses the long, bright filament of these LEDs. She’s agreed to put up with them given their energy efficiency though.
These bulbs have an average life of 15,000 hours, which isn’t shabby versus an incandescent bulb; however, other companies offer bulbs that last 30,000 hours, but don't look as nice. Also, if you live in extreme climates and plan to use these bulbs outdoors, they only operate between -4 degrees Fahrenheit and 104F. They will work in damp locations and enclosed fixtures however.
Overall a nice looking candelabra bulb and much better than others on the market at the moment.
