Are the blade and prongs sharp for digging, getting under the surface, and cutting weed roots? For example the Dewit spork specifically says the points are sharp.

This gardening tool works great. Built sturdy enough to go the distance.......I would purchase this item again.

Prongs break up the soil and flat side cuts weeds. I also turn onto side to push and smooth dirt. Had a 3prong rake and this is more versatile.

One side works like a standard hoe, the other you can use to loosen the soil around larger weeds or between rows of plants. I use these in remote habitat restorations for hand removal on nonnative plants in sensitive habitats. The handle is solid giving less flex than some other tools and the head is welded to the collar and lasts longer than stamped or pinned together heads. The trade off for the durability is it weighs a little bit more. I ordered mine online and they were delivered to my door.

I'm not sure when I'll use my old hoes in the garden again after using Bully's two prong hoe. This unit really performs. Our soil is very rich in clay and gets almost rock hard. This Bully two prong hoe way outperformed my older standard garden hoes, which often just bounced off the clay. The hoe's head is made of thick steel, and the flat end is beveled which we found helps to cut through grass and hard soli, in spite of its light weight. It basically performs like a mini Mattock. I had not used a two prong how previously and found this to really be excellent in breaking up hard clay and in the early spring to clean out raised bed gardens. It penetrates the soil really well and pulls grass clumps out nicely. The fit and finish is excellent. Its quality, like Bully's rakes and shovels, is excellent. From the rivet that holds the head to the welds and powder coating on the metal, this unit exudes quality. Maybe I'll drill some holes in my older dinosaur-ish garden hoes to turn then into mason hoes. I can't see using them after trying this unit. Highly recommended

The Bully 12-Gauge 2-Prong Weeding Hoe with a Fiberglass Handle is the hoe you want for weeding around your home. It is a very sturdy and heavy duty hoe that has no problem taking care all your weed problems. We had a similar hoe with a wood handle that very quickly fell apart and became useless. We have had this hoe a week and it meets our expectations.

Initial viewing: Clean job of constructing the handle and a clean weld between the handle mount and hoe blade. Inspection: The fiberglass handle is anchored securely in the long sleeve of the blade with a rivet, with a good thick rubber handle attached to the end of it. The fiberglass is smooth and well finished without any flaws or splintering. Because they used a long sleeve, allowing for good leverage, the handle on the tool should not be prone to breakage at the joining point. The strong handle assembly, coupled with the good clean weld between the sleeve and the blade make for a good strong tool. MADE IN THE USA. Summery Some thought went into the design of this tool, and the quality shows it. A nice light tool, due to the fiberglass handle, that is well constructed, one that will provide the user with years of service.

This hoe is a beast, so I have tended to push it to its limits. That means throwing the fork end into rocky soil and prying Tanoak starter shrubs out of the ground. That said, yes if you go nuts like that the forks will bend. Otherwise, this is a well built heavy duty hoe that's also super lightweight.

        Weak steel
Prongs side bent within 10 minutes of use on weedy soil. Unless you are only using the prongs on loose soil they are too weak to hold up
