A:  Starters-Handle is fuchsia in color. Once you get past that it’s a heavy well made shovel blade with stronger handle than most shovels. Should last a lifetime. It’s made in the USA!

I have used many shovels over the years. I prefer a fiberglass handle. Wooden handles tend to splinter and work blisters into your hands over time. This shovel seems to be built very well. It has the fiberglass handle with a rubber grip on the end. The actual shovel part is very sturdy and has the turned up edge for your foot as you push it in the ground. Unfortunately my septic tank has issues and I got to use my new shovel to dig up my tank.

This is a high quality, solid product made in the USA which seems like it will last a long time. I am very impressed with the materials and construction of this shovel. I have a variety of shovels that I use based on whether I am scooping or digging. The metal of my comparable older shovels is thinner and there are some construction differences. A notable difference is that the Bully Tools round shovel has about 8 ½” of the fiberglass handle inserted into the steel head. My old round shovel only has about 3 inches of the fiberglass handle inserted into the steel head. I hope this helps reduce the risk of the handle snapping off under pressure as I have experienced in the past with other shovels. The Bully Tools shovel also has two metal pins/rivets attaching the fiberglass handle to the steel head. My old shovel only has 1 metal pin/rivet. One thing to note is that the Bully Tools shovel is a bit heavier as a result of the additional strength that has been engineered into the product. I am fine with the additional weight, but depending on your stature it might be something to consider. The Bully Tools shovel is also a bit longer which might help some taller individuals. One last thought is that there is a black plastic plug on the backside of the shovel on the metal end of the fiberglass handle which apparently is not inserted properly. I have reached out to Bully Tools regarding this observation, but have not received an explanation as of yet.

I just received my Fiberglass Long Handle 14 Gauge Steel Round Point Shovel. At under five pounds the shovel is lightweight but seems to be very strong. I much prefer a fiberglass handle to wood, as I have had wooden handles on shovels deteriorate in the past. The top of the handle is rubber, allowing for easier gripping. The wide forward step allows for greater control. I have already used it to dig up a small shrub and I was pleased at how easy it was to use. The best part is that it is made in America and has a lifetime warranty. I recommend this product.

MADE IN AMERICA. Bully tools are both made in America and some of the most durable tools on the market. The shaft is made of fiberglass for extended durability and strength. The metal shovel shaft extends up the handle further than many on the market. The fiberglass handle is attached to the shovel shaft with a string rivet that adds for additional strength and overall support. Sharp edge makes cutting into the dirt swift and easy. Extra strong metal shovel provides for years of dependable use. Comfortable foam handle makes any job easy on your hands.

    Solid and American Made
SHAFT The shaft is made of fiberglass, and quite tough. It was able to handle a good 200 lbs with a bit of a bounce. I'm not sure if there are any strength benefits or weight savings to using fiberglass versus wood, but at least you won't get splinters! BLADE The blade is made with 14 gauge tempered steel. It is quite sturdy, and cuts through both wet soil and bone dry dirt with ease. The cutting edge is pointed at a good angle giving you leverage with the egress into each cut. The neck of the blade, a usual weak spot, is reinforced with an extra perpendicular metal weld for strength. The shoulder of the blade is wide enough for a good amount of force application via boot. SUMMARY A solid, well built, American Made shovel. Great all around.

Bully Tools - Made in the USA and tough as an ox... or a "Bull." Can you dig it?
A quality shovel made in the USA. The fiberglass handle is really strong and there is no "wiggle" where the shovel connects to the handle (I hate when you have weight on a shovel and it wiggles!). The handle is straighter than I'm used to, but that adds to its strength when prying or stomping it into the ground. I have really big hands and feet, so I would have preferred if the shovel had a slightly thicker handle and bigger foot stomp, but most folks won't have my issues. Overall I'm still pleased with the shovel's performance and strength. I read a review where someone had removed the sticker on the shovel and it took off some of the powder coat -- that can lead to premature rusting. In my experience, you shouldn't remove stickers on tools and let them wear away while you work. Anyway, I dig this shovel because I doubt I'll be able to break it ...and it's made here in the USA!

    Durable and Built to Last
Shovels come and go. Nothing super different about this shovel. However it is made to last longer than most on the market today. Handle is made of fiberglass. Will not dry rot or rust. Shovel has an 1/8 inch thickness to the blade built for tough and rugged jobs. Attaching pin is thick and built to last. Best part is it's MADE IN AMERICA any they display it proudly.
