I like the box. Pro It is light, seems rugged, adds lockable tool storage to the trailer and looks good, too. Con The bottom is very thin. It would be better if the box's bottom did not show light through. I do not know if the floor will tear out in time, since the box is mounted by the bottom and will be bounced while heavily loaded with items. My install preparation. To install - I strengthened the box bottom with a bottom liner cut from 1/2" chip board to insure a solid mounting. I next, sealed the chip board with thinned left over one part enamel garage floor paint. I thinned the floor paint to better penetrate, seal and toughen up the chip board. I put the prepped chip board in to the box bottom. Then, I cut and set in a piece of black rubber armor plate garage flooring. To finish, I will seal the edges of the box's floor with black RTV before drilling and bolting the box on to the trailer. That should complete the box install on the trailer. Overall, I am happy with the price and quality.

Great size for the price. I didn't want a metal box that would rust. I installed it on the trailer tonque with angle iron to inset it. After putting a battery, straps and few other items, the floor starting sagging. The floor could be stiffer but the rest of the box seems sturdy. I like the hasp to lock it.

The hasp and loop on the front of this box do not line up. The hasp will not fit over the loop unless the lid is lifted to allow the hasp to slide over the loop. If I have to lift the lid to lock it, that will let moisture into the box, which is not good. Obviously this box did not go through quality control or they simply don't give a darn about the quality of the products. Look at the last photo first, then the second photo and the first photo last.

I installed this on a tandem PWC trailer to hold life jackets, tie-down straps, and other assorted accessories. Made of heavy-duty - but still lightweight - molded plastic, I don't have to worry about it rusting over what I'm sure will be a long lifetime. The bottom is water-tight (except where I drilled it for mounting, but a washer and a little caulk takes care of that) so I don't have to worry if I back the trailer in a bit too far and the lower couple of inches of the box are in the water. The lid has an over-hanging lip that keeps rainwater from leaking in. I've driven with it in the rain some and haven't seen any water leakage, but if I ever do a little weatherstripping should take care of that. Check out the included picture to see how I mounted it: I created a walk-about platform with synthetic decking (with some added support lumber where necessary) and then mounted the storage box on top. I used stainless steel fasteners and washers throughout to keep everything from rusting. As mentioned in the Home Depot "Product Overview" - and contrary to the "Details" section - this storage box *does* have a hasp for a padlock, so I can feel confident that my extra life jackets are secure when I'm out on the water. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. It was a great price, looks like it'll last forever, fits my trailer perfectly, and holds all my stuff! What more could I ask for?

It is lightweight,which is good in a way. The door is flimsy feeling. The floor of the box will not survive without re-enforcing it. I put a lightweight jack, small "pancake" air compressor, A impact gun and the a bag of tie downs for the car trailer. I made a 200 mile round trip to pick up a vehicle. When I returned the floor of the box was severely dented from the items bouncing around. I imagine another trip and the items would punch through the floor of the box. The welds are sloppy at best. In my opinion, for the price it could have been built better.

Good construction, lid seals well. Does not come with mounting hardware which is understandable due to the different trailer tongue mounting methods.
