Hot Pepper Delight 0.7 lb. Wild Bird Suet

I don't have wood siding or shingles. However, any animal will go after a food source that is easy to get to. I have woodpeckers at my bird feeder (sunflower black oil) and occasional Hot Pepper Delight. I suggest setting an alternate food source, such as above, and see what happens. If successful, this would be a cheaper (and more entertaining) method versus repairing damaged wood. Best of luck!

This has kept the raccoons away here, as well as opossums and squirrels, all of which were keeping us from feeding the birds (which we enjoy). The raccoons pull down the feeders and drag the whole thing off with regular suet but leave this alone. The opossums would climb the poles and tear things up too and the squirrels will get on the regular suet and eat it all right through the cages. Home Depot has been our best source for this but have been out of stock for a while now.

Well I wished that I had paid attention to the ingredients on an older package from years ago but I didn't. What I received at my local Home Depot store seems to be exactly what it should be. Even though it doesn't say "chili peppers", red pepper comes from chili peppers. It still looks and feels like the same consistency and texture. I have a lot of birds and tree squirrels in my yard and the birds still love the stuff and the squirrels won't touch it, which is my main objective. I've been buying C & S Hot Pepper suet for years and I was very happy to find that Home Depot sells it. I've tried other brands of "hot pepper" and it was awful. I'll keep using the C & S and hope Home Depot continues to sell it.

Best to order on Home Depot website and pick up at store. Comes 12 to a tray. I usually buy a couple at a time. Have never purchased at WalMart.
