Product Overview

The CAMO Edge Deck Fastening System works on most treated lumber, hardwood, cedar, composite or PVC deckboard. CAMO Edge Fasteners, a CAMO Marksman tool, and CAMO Driver Bits combine to deliver a fastener-free deck surface at a price that makes getting the job easy and installing the deck even easier. The CAMO Edge Deck Fastening System is engineered to work exclusively together. Using other branded tools, fasteners or bits will impair performance and won't produce the desired results.
  • For use with most nominal 5/4 (1 in. x 5-1/4 in. to 5-3/4 in.) solid or grooved deckboards
  • Protech coated - 1500 hour salt spray
  • Covers approx. 500 sq. ft. deck
  • 2-free driver bits included
  • A reverse rake tip removes deck material as it bores, allowing the screw to penetrate the board without splitting
  • A star drive offers more points of contact for better performance and reduces bit slippage and wear
  • An aggressive lower thread pattern provides superior holding power while the reverse upper thread pulls the board tight to the joist and provides a clean, finished entry
  • A unique trimhead design provides a less visible point of entry

More time consuming than nails or conventional screws, but the results are well worth the extra time. I used these on my 500 sq foot deck project, and everyone who sees... err does not see them, is very impressed. The only drawback, and it's really not a drawback, is that when you remove a board that has been screwed down with these fasteners, the board's edges will no longer be in good condition. As the screw comes out, it rips apart the edge of the board around the screw hole. Also, the screws are pretty much unusable for any other application other than this one. They work great in the camo tool, but don't work for attaching spindles or anything else. Order wisely.

    don't waste your money
I installed over 800 sq ft of pressure treated deck. Within two weeks the screw heads were popping and boards were coming loose, causing them to warp. I contacted the company so they could warrant the product. They sent their rep, who blamed the wood for the problem. Really??? Aren't deck screws supposed to secure deck boards in all weather? I filed a claim with the company 3 weeks ago, and they still have not acted. This is a horrible product. Don't waste your money.

I love the Camo system. I used it for my son's tree-house a couple years ago and I liked it. When I wanted to resurface my deck I decided to use them again. You will never have any problems with the screws.
