AnswersI don't think the actual globe part detaches. Just looking at it, it appears that the whole arm has to be taken apart from the lamp post. I hope this helps.

So happy with this purchase. Had a handyman put it in at the back of my big backyard and run the wiring to the patio for the electrical connection, he did a great job and now my backyard is lit and looks welcoming with no more darkness. Would definitely recommend this beautiful lamp post.
