I have never used this type of planting medium. I added it to an outdoor whiskey barrel. Information online says it does not have added nutrients for plant growth, so I will need to feed my plants during the grow season. It is light and mixed into existing soil well. Large amount of product in bag should last for several planting areas. Hope it helps retain water during this drought!

I like this product. I have used similar soil amendments and received good results. I usually mix this with soil on new plantings but I chose to use this one as a top dressing on some tropical ornamentals. It smells organic and the bag states that it was washed thoroughly. I am trying it on plants that did not fare well in the freeze this past year. I will cover these beds with mulch in the coming days. I like the blend of perlite mixed in it.

I was able to mix one bag in three compartments of my raised bed. Once I mixed this stuff in, I put my water drip lines back in place and I am ready to plant. They also Triple washed the mixture at the factory with low pH to promote healthy root development. So many advantages with this product. It is good for vegetables, herbs, flowers, and hydroponic systems to mention a few. I need a few more bags, and all of my raised beds will be ready to start off the season right. I know you can also use this for indoor plants as well.

I got this for a mobile planter I use for my herbs, and it’s been a game-changer. The 70/30 coco-to-perlite ratio provides excellent aeration, which is exactly what my Mediterranean herbs (lavender and rosemary) need. It’s much lighter than traditional potting soil, making the planter much easier to move around the deck. The perlite is well-distributed, and I haven't noticed any significant dust or 'trash' in the mix. It holds moisture well thanks to the coco, but the drainage is fast enough that I don't worry about overwatering. My basil and mint are thriving in it.

The Coco Perlite is perfect for starting seeds for spring. I have used the product to start garlic, herbs, and sorrel. It's already mixed and ready to use, no soil necessary. The product has excellent drainage and aeration for plant roots to grow. It can also be used in garden beds to aid in proper root drainage and to improve soil aeration. The bag is large enough to do multiple gardening projects. There is no odor, it's lightweight, and absorbs moisture very well.

Great product. Super fine coir mixed with perlite. I believe this product is designed for seedling starting. I used it to mix with the heavy soul mix I purchased for my raised garden beds and an assortment of pots that I use for growing vegetables and flowers. I usually buy big commercial size bags of perlite to make my potting soil. This coir perlite combo had plenty of perlite. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out after a growing season.

Product was shipped intact and arrived well protected and not smashed. Cut the bag opened and found the product nice and dry and loose for spreading. We use it with our indoor plants, our vegetable garden and on some outdoor plants that need good drainage. This product has proven itself year after year to maintain a balance of moisture when light rain or heavy rains occur. Feels clean to the touch.

I’m interested to see how it will really work with my plants as opposed to my regular soil in my garden. So far, it seems really airy and reg absorbs water well. I read that this type is heavy on salt so that the bag reads triple washed is great because salt can interfere with lots of plants. So far, nothing seems to be deterring me too badly of ever purchasing this again.
