Questions & Answers

Do the test ball plugs get removed from the pipe after testing?

I ask because I just found one with an inflater hose attached. The chain had rusted and I had to fish out of floor drain. I am assuming this should have been removed after testing, am I correct? Thanks.
Asked by: John
Of course the test ball must be removed after testing. Otherwise your water can not drain when you are finished with your project.

Yes. I asked my wife to pick one up and someone in the local Home Depot helped her find one. We were able to test the shower pan the same morning.

How do you release pressure so you can remove plug?

Asked by: Barb
The inlet where you introduce air for inflation is a Schrader valve and there is a little needle inside the middle of that brass fitting that is a check valve and when you gently push down on the needle, the air will escape and the plug will deflate.
