AWESOME
This is well built for sure. The three polls are very sturdy and made of a thick steel The base has a great weight for the polls. Because of how the three fit together there are several height options. It will defiantly hold up to the elements. We plan to use it for a covering over our grand kids play area. Look forward to having alot of year of use

This looks to be a high quality product, much as the rest of the ColourTree product line. Heavy gauge steel, cleanly machined threads and smooth/bright finish. The pole comes in 3 four-foot sections that screw together. Two sections have male threads on one end and female threads on the other has female threads on one end and is closed on the other. So if one were so inclined one could assemble this to be 4 or 8 feet tall instead of 12.
Remember that "stainless" doesn't mean "without stain" it means it "stains less". There are a couple spots on my set that have a little corrosion in the threads and one spot where some leftover material from cutting the threads was not removed (but is easily removed).
In spite of the minor flaws I think this is a quality product.

This is a very heavy duty pole and anchor system that is made out of high quality satin brushed finished stainless steel. This pole set is full 12' in length and is 3” diameter. The base plate is approximately 8” x 8” with four 10mm x 140mm expandable concrete bolts, and there is one height adjustable anchor for one corner of a sunshade.
Overall this is a great looking product but it's almost unless without some kind of instructions on how it's to be installed. The text in the description on the Home Depot website has no information on this subject and has no link that provides any useful information. Without this I can't install this on a project without some kind of plan or schedule for a suitable foundation.
These sunshades generate huge forces in a wind. If one of these poles let loose at the top of the foundation the pole becomes a run-away club. No one wants that to happen so, at this point, without suitable foundation information its of no use real use to me.
