I need to clean the rotor and stator in an old electric fan motor that got oil down inside on them and the motor casing can't be disassembled. So I'll have to spray down in through the vent ports, is this safe for the windings if it gets on them? Is it also safe on the paint on the motor casing?
Asked by: RW
Yes it is safe for both the windings and paint and would definitely give it a try in your particular situation to remove as much oil as possible, along with compressed air. Good luck.

Will this clean the Armature on my electric motor?

The area that the brushes contact gets very dirty and will not make a connection. I have used brake parts cleaner in the past but it is not good for the brushes
Asked by: Boiler1220
Thank you for your question! A brake cleaner is too aggressive for this application, but the QD Electric Cleaner is a great choice. Always remember to de-energize your equipment before cleaning and to wait 4-6 hours after you have finished cleaning to re-energize your equipment.
