This is a nice heavy duty trailer hitch towing ball. Be sure before ordering, the ball mount is drilled for a 1.25-inch ball shank. I like the longer shank length of this ball. Plenty of length to allow for thick ball mounts and good thread showing once the lock washer and nut are installed and torqued. The chrome finish is nice while it lasts and helps reduce friction while I always keep my towing ball and coupler greased to lessen wear anyway. The ball’s rating is stamped right into the top of it so there is no question when any authority needs to verify a towing setup is safe and legal to be on the road.
