Just painted the cabinets in my bathroom coffee bar. I’ve used the rustoleum transformation in the past, and this is far superior. However, the color is very stark white and I wanted something warmer, so I took it in to Home Depot and they tinted it to sherwin williams alabaster (the popular white on Fixer Upper). I brushed and rolled the frames and used the home right spray gun on the doors. No brush marks, but the foam roller gives a bit of a texture I didn’t like. I’m going to spray everything rather than roll on my next project. I scratched an area with my nail and no paint came off, even though it hasn’t fully cured. Seems durable. Can’t wait to tackle the master bathroom and kitchen.

INSL-X is fantastic paint for cabinets. Smooth semi-matte appearance, goes on easily and does not show brush marks. Funny thing, it applies and looks better with a smooth roller than it does with a brush. I used a brush first to paint my old oak face frames, then switched to a roller, with much better results. This paint levels like no other I have ever used. Amazing. When I applied the paint with a HVLP sprayer on the shaker doors it is fantastic. Be aware, it does longer to cure (a couple of days). but do the doors first, then the frames and it works out fine. Highly recommended.
Picture is the first set of doors, you can see the improvement from the old oak doors.

Great coverage, beautiful finish, even on open-grain old oak. Bought 2 gallons for 49 doors and drawers, didn't even use a whole gallon. Lots work cleaning and sanding. Used Kilz Premium primer and 2 coats paint, plus a little antique glaze for depth. Let the paint cure: We put the doors back up immediately and had trouble with finish scratching off the first couple weeks. After the paint cured and really dried to a hard finish, we had no trouble. The only new items in our kitchen redo were the counter and accent moulding.

I am writing this having just painted my cabinets so I can't say much about the durability yet, but the paint has an excellent finish. Very smooth and appears very durable. Almost like at oil-based finish. We did use a primer, but as others have stated, you could just uses paint as the instructions say. Well worth the cost!

Very satisfied. Two coats were recommended for our kitchen cabinets, but my wife had to do three coats to meet our expectations. Over all this is a great paint.

I used this product on my kitchen cabinets, and it turn out great!! I used 2 coats of Glidden Gripper Primer and 2 coats of Cabinet Coat.
It went on smoothly and dry's quickly almost to quick. I used a brush first then a dry foam roller to give it a sprayed on look, No Brush Stokes at all.
I searched a lot of other cabinet paints and I am glad I went with this product will use again!!
Already planning on doing both bathroom cabinets!

INSL-X cabinet coat was a great choice for refinishing my kitchen cabinets. I cleaned the cabinets, lightly sanded, primed with 2 coats of Kilz 2, and painted 2 coats of cabinet coat. I used a wagnere home decor paint HVLP sprayer and the cabinets turned out amazing.
