AnswersThis handle is designed for a specific model of toilet. The angle of the tank compared to where the handle is means this handle is under a fair amount of stress and usually breaks every couple of years.. I would not recommend getting this unless you have one of the American Standard toilets that requires it.

AnswerNo, tank parts are not interchangeable between models. The angle and trip lever throw is different on every tank, this will only work on a Cadet 3 tank.

This product is advertised as "Made from premium quality brass for long-term use" and "Compatible with Cadet 3 toilets". First, it is 100% made-in-China plastic. If there is any brass in this lever at all it would have to be a component of the paint used to make the plastic appear to be satin nickel. Secondly, it is not the same part that came with my Cadet 3 toilet nor does it work in my Cadet 3 toilet. It is several inches too short. When you hook the flapper valve chain to the lever the flapper valve cannot close so the tank cannot fill. I returned this item. Then I contacted American Standard, explained the problem to them and they shipped me the same incorrect part.

It works but will likely not last long. This is my third one as they easily break. Still cheaper than replacing the toilet and there doesn't seem to be any other lever that fits this tank.
