can I mount this heater in my RV?

can I mount this heater in my RV?
Asked by: Caroline
Yes. But here are the things you need to consider: 1. Do you have 120 volt power near your intended mounting site. 2. Is the intended site hollow in the wall behind it. 3. Is the site in front clear of objects that could get overheated. 4. Can the circuit that you intend to connect into capable of handling the additional load of the heater? 4. You will need to consider a switch for this model, or get the add-on switch/thermostat which is a better choice.

This heater is dengerous for baby?

Asked by: Mom
Thank you for your question, Our heaters are designed with the safety and comfort of your family in mind. But the surface temperatures do get hot to the touch and proper clearance requirements should be maintained at all times to keep you safe and keep your heater operating normally. And just like other appliances such as your stove, toaster or grill, children and pets should not be left unattended while your heater is in use. If you have a home with children or pets, here are a few ideas for extra precautions you can take when using our heaters: 1. Put it up high. Our new Apex72 heater was designed specifically to be placed 72-inches or higher on the wall, which puts it out of reach of little hands. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cadet-Apex72-1000-Watt-240-Volt-Electric-High-Wall-Heater-Kit-with-Wall-Thermostat-HWC102K/206276425 2. Try our SoftHEAT baseboard heaters which have lower surface temperatures and have a more enclosed heating element that is harder to get to than our traditional baseboards. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cadet-SoftHeat-59-in-1-000-Watt-240-Volt-Hydronic-Electric-Baseboard-Heater-Left-Hand-Wire-White-EBHN1000W/100165904 3. Use lower wattage. Lower wattage heaters are generally not as hot to the touch than higher wattage heaters. If your room needs 1,000 watts of heat, you can always get two 500-watt heaters instead of one 1,000-watt one.

The rough in of the Compak is 10-1/8 W x 8" T x 4" D so you will need an adapter plate CAMW to cover the excess hole that is not covered. See the link below: https://cadetelectricheat.com/CAMW?search=camw Please contact us if you have questions at 855-223-3887 Thank you.
