They could safely be on steady
They are safe to leave on all the time they recommend that you leave them at about 55 degrees or in the comfort zone setting. It is recommended to use these heaters in a baby's room or bedroom.
You would need to work with an HVAC contractor and he would have to install low voltage contactors. It can be done but not easily. I hope this helps you... Thank you.
Please see below for the instructions in this case. Thank you so much and have a good day. https://cadetheat.com/index.php?route=extension/module/product_downloads/get&did=82
Good question. We recently revised this product so it can be wired on either end. This is the latest version, so it can be wired on the left or right side.
Karen, Sorry to hear that your heater is giving off a little smell after using it for more than a year. We're not sure what kind of heater you're replacing, but they should last a lot longer than 18 months. (This particular heater comes with a 7 year warranty.) Typically if the heater starts to smell after use, there could be something stuck inside it near the element. If yours is clear of obstructions, give us a call so we can help troubleshoot the issue further. 855.223.3887
Hi CKM, the Softheat model or hydronic is compatible with a wall line voltage thermostat, in other words it has thick 14,12 or 10 gauge wire connected to it, look at the pictures of the T522-W thermostat at Home Depot this would be line voltage: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Cadet-Mechanical-Double-Pole-22-Amp-Wall-Thermostat-in-White-T522-W/308111833
Hi Bagel, For detailed information on BTU's feel free to Contact Cadet Technical Support 855-223-3887.
Hi Bagel, This heater draws 3.1 amps on 240 volts.
That is not recommended as this could create an unsafe condition. The units are powder coated with paint that is heat resistant and will not release fumes. Not only that but most paints will crack and not look right. I hope this helps you. Thank you.
