Cafe counter depth refrigerator
Love this refrigerator!! Is perfect for my area. Now just waiting for the other appliances to be installed.

Not the best value
There is a lot of plastic trim, you have to buy side panels if you don’t want cheap black metal. The water dispenser is just a rubber tube. Also, the fridge really can’t be counter depth because the hinges open out and the door is so deep that it hits your counter top if you don’t pull it forwards. And the finish is very delicate. I do like the layout. But it feels like an inexpensive fridge that they slapped a fancy handle on and increased the price by a grand.

Beautiful dud
Quit working after 10 weeks. Just goes to show that Looks and aesthetics aren’t everything as well as price does not ensure quality. I hope all of our other Cafe’ appliances hold up better than our fridge/freezer…disappointed customer.

Looks great could be better
Not sure I love the water maker. I like that it’s inside but the button is hard to push and I need both hands. Should have an easier way to dispense. Also the counter depth still sticks out showing the black sides. For the price they should have the sides same color (netter white) as front.

Lovely design
This fridge has a beautiful aesthetic, uses very nice materials and is well built (I own a kitchen design/remodling company and install many high end appliances, and this fridge holds its own considering the price). We have had an issue once or twice where when we woke up in the morning the fridge had climbed to the mid 40s. Had I actually taken the time to hook it up to WiFi, I imagine the fridge would have warned me so we could have maybe taken action. Also, we have to be careful of what we put on the top shelf of the fridge as sometimes things can freeze up there. Oh, and there must be a little something going on with the ice maker as the tray will build up an ice block “looks like a little drip from above) and often when you open the freezer drawer I’ve cubes will fall into the floor. That’s pretty annoying. Lastly, the filters are a bit pricey.
To sun it up, a gorgeous fridge to look at, well made, but has some flaws.
Oh, and we have had it for about 2.5 years now.

For the issue with ice forming in the refrigerator, we recommend making sure that the temperature settings are not too low. This is unexpected under the normal operating temperatures of the refrigerator.
As for the issue with the ice clumping and spilling when you open the door, this is most likely due to the ice bucket sitting full for an extended period of time. We would recommend switching off the icemaker when the bucket gets full so that all the ice gets used.

Great modern addition to our kitchen
We purchased the entire suite of Cafe appliances for our kitchen remodel. There is no getting around the tradeoff of the counter depth fridge; however, this model does an excellent job of optimizing space. The door storage is very roomy and like the drop-down upper butter tray. Deli / meat tray is very large and accommodating. We do miss having an in door water/ice dispenser but enjoy the extra space. The feel, appearance, and quality of the fridge is really nice. Feels very substantial and premium versus other makes/models we have owned.

One big problem
We are awaiting the SEVENTH visit by a repair tech in 14 months. I did not expect to spend over $3000 on a refrigerator, wait months for delivery then have problems with ice buildup on the freezer door! The gasket has been replaced, the door has been adjusted and it still has ice crystals which fall on the floor when the door is opened!

Best we’ve ever had
This is the nicest fridge we’ve ever had. It required a call to customer service to help figure out what bin went where in the doors. Why not put stickers on to help with that? Customer service was great! The matte black is matte. Picture attached is fridge, 3 angles, next to our low gloss black cabinets-Green packing plastic still attached. I think the picture turned out realistic to actual look. Wish it had been a deeper black but satisfied as I looked and waited 11 months to find a “black” counter depth fridge. I believe this could almost be called black stainless. One salesman told me I’d sooner find a unicorn than a black fridge. The ice maker works great- we’d never had one and didn’t know what we were missing. It has more room than the 2 of us are likely to fill. We really like it.
