They use a different motor/pump combination. From the California Air Tools website the AC (Contractor grade) unit runs at 1680 rpm, 935 Watts, has a rated life of 3000 hours, max pressure of 120 psi, with air flow rates of 3.10 CFM @ 40psi and 2.20 CFM @ 90 psi. Whereas the ALFC (Industrial Series) uses a 1400 rpm motor, 836 Watts, with a rated life of 4000 hours, max pressure of 125 psi, with air flow rates of 4.00 CFM @ 40psi and 3.00 CFM @ 90 psi.
From the California Tools Website, it doesn't look like this compressor does (110 only), but they do list a different motor/pump combo that is a 2.0 HP and it is available in either 110v (SP-9421) or 220v (SP-9421-22060), both are 60 Hz though. You might want to contact California Air Tools directly about this.
The California Air Tools web site states the 4610AC compressor draws 8.5 Amps (946 W), and the 4610ALFC draws 7.6 Amps (836 W). I can't tell you what the start up current/power is.
