Select Space Saving 9-Piece Hard-Anodized Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set in Black

I bought them 3 months ago, love them but the dishwasher safe it’s not my pots the bottom color is white right now. I don’t think it’s dish washer safe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design is innovative with the stackable feature, although not sure how functional the covers are. There is a good assortment of sizes although cooking for four and not two, would have liked a wider pan in the set. I really like how care instructions are at the bottom of each pan/pot. I do wish someone would create a durable non-stick that can withstand any material type of utensil, but for now will continue using wood and silicon spoons and spatulas since I have a bad habit of leaving them in the pan/pot. The non-stick aspect of the pan works really well. I’ve so far used the set for stews, scrambled eggs, to boil rice, etc...even when I burned a soy and sugar mixture, it didn’t ruin the pan like it did with my older one. The stackability feature is this set is a little iffy, if I’m using the larger cover and can’t use it to separate out the smaller pans, then the pan rests crookedly on the surface of the bigger one, and I’m scared it will end of scratching the pot sooner or later. So far, had not. Also, not sure if the metal pieces on the non-handle ends are actually needed, they tend to get really hot and it’s tempting to use them for leverage when moving the pans. Be careful too if you have larger hands, the handles on the chili pot are relatively small. Overall, after three weeks of heavy usage (I cook 7-12 meals a week out of 21, for four people and use this set in conjunction with my 14” pan and pasta pot), I would highly recommend this set for quality and value. It would also make for a good wedding/house-warming gift.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After seven days of use, we saw no signs of wear on our Calphalon Select cookware. We were able to try several different preparation methods, all of which were successful. I particularly enjoyed the ease of deglazing the pan after sauté usage. The caramelized flavors often left on the pan are important in the overall taste. We were also impressed by the high rate of heat transfer. Water boiled quickly, and the pan heated fast and evenly. My wife particularly liked the see through covers, allowing easy visibility of your work. Some of the meals we cooked include, chicken parmesan, beef stew and our favorite, Asian night, teriyaki beef, rice and wok-fry vegetables. The chicken parmesan fried quickly and gave a beautiful golden brown. Topped with marinara and provolone cheese, on a bed on spaghetti, it was outstanding. Many lesser pans would have scorched and tasted burnt, before the chicken cooked all the way through.. The beef stew was tremendous as well. The roast braised nicely and helped to keep it juicy and tender. A lighter weight Dutch oven would not have done so well. The special two handled cover made checking it very easy. Asian night was a huge success! Teriyaki beef, braised in a hoisin marinade was so tender, if fell off the fork! The rice fried quickly and evenly, another win. And the veggies really impressed. We did a very hot “wok fry” in the chef’s pan, win number three!. I have used this Calphalon Select Space Saving 9pc Set for a little over a week, and look forward to many more years of service. The covers are my favorite feature as well. I enjoy being able to see the food, and still keep my kitchen safe. The non-stick surface is second to none and the sturdy handles make this set, and must have.

Pans are easy to clean, minimum oil or butter needed. Operates on and stove & are stackable fitting in our space perfectly. You do not need to use high heat to cook. Highly recommended!

These are the best pots I’ve ever owned. The space saving feature is the gravy on my biscuits!!

I received these off of my bridal registry. I’ve only had them for 2 years and the quality started going down hill at year 1. They are chipped all over, so hard to clean and apparently not dishwasher safe as stated in the description. The nonstick wore off within less than a year and the food we make does not cook well in them. Wish I could buy something new sooner rather than later because this set does not make for a good cooking experience. It looks like I have had them for 10 years instead of 2. So disappointing.
