No, not at all. I use them daily and run them in the dishwasher every evening and no problem at all.
We have been using this flatware for about two weeks now. Our dishwasher is on the blink so we have been hand washing our flatware. And, it has not lost any of its fabulous brilliance. Hope this helps a little.
This item is designed to be dishwasher safe with its finish. It is not intended for commercial, high frequency washing systems however in a residential setting you should not have any issues. As with all fine flatware and cutlery it is advised to hand wash and never let the utensils soak. Also, please refrain from using a citric acid based soap/detergent.
