A: Of course! You can guesstimate how much fluid you've added to the waste tank (with flushes and pee-pee) then empty it at about "half filled". That would be at about 2 to 2 1/2 gallons.
A: You know that it is full, when you can no longer flush it. But, this only has capacity for 3 - 4 people, while camping, etc. It would have to be set up on a platform to e the height of a normal toilet. Plus you would need an enclosure. For a party, you would need a much larger one. Better yet, you can rent a porta potty, which would have capacity for party-goers.
A: You can look inside by pulling the "trap" open (like you have to do for someone to use it). I've used mine for several years and have had 40+ people at my 4th of July parties. A lot of people used it and it has never been FULL. However, for sanitary reasons, I do dump it and clean it after those big events.
A: There is water in the holding tank and, after use, you press the little pump and it rinses the bowl like a normal toilet (not as much pressure, though). The water rinse usually helps any paper go down as well. I've used mine for 3 years and numerous family functions and haven't had to clean up any real messes yet! Really not much different than a regular toilet.
A: I am assuming you mean to mount to the floor or secure this to a wall? No brackets are included. This is a portable unit.
A: No mounting brackets but I don't feel they are necessary. It's portable!
