Answersthis hose is made for drinking water applications the end fittings I think are stainless. Brass on the cheaper hoses. yes they are safe to drink from as long as they are cleaned

Inside diameter is not as advertised. It measures 9/16" NOT 5/8"
I purchased this hose for a home brew project but I needed it to be 5/8" inside diameter as advertised. Well, I got the hose and it's only a 9/16" inside diameter. And that's just the diameter of the hose once I cut it open. The actual opening at the end is only 1/2".
I even contacted Camco and they pretty much said their machines have can't "hold the 5/8" tolerance" and they have "imperfections". Well then it should probably be advertised as 9/16" ID hose since you can't buy the right tools as a major corporation to do the job.
The male end of the hose (where you screw attachments on all the time) has a very small nut and is hard to get things tight. I often find myself using a wrench to get things on and off. Kind of a pain.
I will not be recommending this hose or this company to anyone.
