This air hose is great for use with a spray gun. The necessary parts will consist of those needed to fit your individual compressor. The hose comes with standard 3/8" male fittings so you can quickly add the quick connects that work with your equipment.
I needed a light weight, easy to clean, air hose for my small garage air compressor that could reach vehicles parked in my driveway. The Campbell Hausfeld air looked like a good choice. With quick connectors installed, the Campbell Hausfeld 50 foot 3/8-in. hose weighed less than four pounds. My 50-foot Husky, heavy duty rubber air hose weighed more than eight pounds. Synthetic rubber hose is a good choice when needing a hose that lays flat and will provide a long service life. It is best to avoid natural rubber air hose due to its short service life. The Campbell Hausfeld hose should provide a long service life being made from PVC. Due to the light weight of PVC plastic, the hose tends not to lie flat unless in the sun or warm temperatures soften the hose and allow gravity to pull its light weight down. The vinyl cover makes the hose easy to clean. Rubber hoses tend to attract dirt and debris that can embed into the porosity of the rubber. All air hoses will kink. I found the kink resistance of this Campbell Hausfeld hose to be good and its light weight makes flipping the kinks easy to remove. To protect your air compressor and extend its life, never use an extension cord. Rather use a longer air hose or several air hoses connected together to reach the work location.
Hose is packaged and looks as if it's not 50' but it is. It has bend restrictors on each end to avoid kinking at the ends of the hose. Standard connections easily thread onto the ends of the hose. Obviously a male and a quick disconnect female should be used on this item and I insured it being leak proof at the threads by using a little teflon tape wrapped three times around the threaded portion.
Care should be taken as it will kink when stretching if not unwound properly, same as all these plastic type hoses.
This hose is thicker and more flexible than my Husky 50 foot PVC hose because I think the PVC is coated with rubber, although it doesn’t state that anywhere. It does kink, but not so bad that it restricts air flow. It’s also easier to handle and wind up. The fittings are brass. The plastic restrictors, will easily pull off the ends of the hose and I think, are minimal help. They can be better. I like the coating. Not only because it makes the hose more flexible, but it also will not mark any surfaces. A rubber hose may be the ultimate in flexibility. I recommend this product.
Pros: Durable, Good Size & Weight, Sturdy, flexible

Bought this hose along with a "Husky 8G 150 PSI Hotdog Air Compressor" (see my review). Hose is much more flexible than other PVC hoses that I own. Lays out and rolls back up easily without excessive memory retention. Length is sufficient to cover my two car garage and driveway. The only reason I took off one star is that if you look at the picture in the description, you will see that this hose is packaged using 3 extremely thin twist ties. My problem is that at the factory one of the twist ties was tightened so tight that it made a permanent indentation on one spot in the hose. So far not a problem, but I hope this does not cause a weak spot where the hose will fail. If you look at the pictures provided by some of the other reviewers, it looks like Campbell Hausfeld used zip ties in the past for their packaging of this item. *Note to Campbell Hausfeld: GO BACK TO ZIP TIES. Will update my review if necessary in the future.
As a person with quite a few pneumatic devices; an additional hose is always a blessing. This hose; however, is much better than the ones I have been using. I often need to move my compressor to air the tires on my Motor Home but now I can make the trip without having to move it. This hose have a very durable outer cover and the bend restrictors will be sure to guarantee a long life. It took just a few minutes to add the connections for my unit and I was in business.
I've been trying for a while to get ahold of a hose of this length that does not have issues with memory or kinking. This seems to be the one. So far I've only had a chance to use it to inflate my car tires, but it unspooled nicely out of the package, without retaining the loops that it was packaged in. It flexes nicely to allow access to different points while you're using it, but it is not so flexible as to show any signs of wanting to kink. This will definitely be my go-to air hose for the foreseeable future.
