Product Overview

The Fireplace Cushion comes with one 4 ft. roll and two 9 in. x 6 in. corners of hearth padding providing a total of 6.5 ft of padding. It is designed to protect children from hard edges and help to reduce pain and bruises in cases of unfortunate accidents. The double-backed adhesive provides superior holding power to velcro-backed alternatives.

MY FIREPLACE IS 60 INCHES ACROSS AND 16 INCHES DEEP. WILL THIS WORK ON MY FIREPLACE?

This Fireplace Cushion Hearth Pad could fit the 60 inches across but would only be 9 inches deep on each side. Custom sizes would need to be ordered through the manufacturer, Cardinal Gates.

When your kid grows up and you want to remove this, does it leave adhesive on your hearthstone?

No, the adhesive can be removed after use. Dishwashing soap works great, or one of the goo removers on the market.

Will this stick to brick?

The hearth pad does stick to most brick. Clean the brick well prior it attaching it. If the brick is extremely coarse, it might not adhere well. In that case you might want to look for our metal backed version of this product.

My fireplace is 67 inches across the front and 21 inches on each side. Will this fit good

This is nowhere near enough for my huge hearth, and even smaller than the 78” in the description. The actual dimensions say that it can cover 60” x 9”, or 66” x 6”, depending on how you orient the corner pieces I guess. The material is nice and thick, very soft. But make sure you get the right size.

Needed this for our elevated brick hearth while granddaughter is young. We chose the brown and it blends in nicely. Pieces were pretty easy to cut. The adhesive is working well (couple of weeks now). We did have to buy two kits with a larger hearth.
