My opinion is good of Carhartt, I'd buy more
Happy with purchase, I bought them more for leisure wear rather than work. I was looking for a light-weight fabric that would be comfortable in the Florida heat, be durable and something less than a heavy-duty cargo work short. The fit and quality was perfect for me, the shipping was fast and with the better than usual military discount, (THANK YOU CHARHARTT) I'd say I could not have done better. If they had some additional color options in the lightweight category I'd be buying more. I'll add that it's been hard to find shorts that were just what I've been looking for....these were it.

The best pair of shorts Carhartt ever made was the B144! Unbelievably they discontinued it! Pretty much the only alternative I had were these - 904731

Fantastic shorts
These are by far the best work/casual shorts I have ever worn. Extremely comfortable and very durable no tearing at the seams, like many other brands of shorts. I hope that Carhartt is not really discontinuing these, I only have 2 pair and I would love to buy more.

Bring back the B144!
We all want the B144 back! Having a side phone pocket on the right & a Buisness card pocket on the left rocks! It would be ok to loose the hammer loop (seriously, have you ever seen one hanging? Always in the tool belt.) in order to increase margins, but keep those two, separate side pockets.

Discontinued
Love these shorts, however, I found that they are discontinuing them for unknown reasons. I live in and work in Florida, these are the only shorts that are lightweight and moisture wicking. SAD!

Love these shorts!
I've been buying Carhartt shorts since 2004...starting with the heavy duck 8 1/2 inch shorts and more recently the Rigby Rugged Flex 10 inch. They have been great for outdoor work / other activities, I still use them for that and wouldn't think of using anything but them. Until now, however, I've had to go to other brands for something to wear for golf, casual gatherings, etc. Not any more. These 9 inch lightweight ripstop shorts look more refined than cotton duck, they hang with a nice silhouette and I can easily wear them with polos in addition to work gear. I know that's strange, huh....an uppity golf polo with shorts bearing a Carhartt label on the pocket...but so what, I can pull off that look with these shorts and still have Carhartt quality and fit. My golf buddies now want some. These look good, they fit me to a T and 9" is the perfect length IMO. They are very lightweight, feel great, and the waist band flexes enough to accommodate my middle aged waist variances from time to time. Need them in black, navy, and maybe a brownish / olive color....I'll buy those too!

Not impressed at all
Don't like them at all. Even with a belt I'm constantly pulling these shorts up.. Terrible replacement for the fantastic B 144 shorts.

Can't stop the Ripstop
It'll be awhile before I put holes in these shorts. And stretch works well with my Covid 19!

Great shorts
Make some pants with this same fit and material. Make more of these shorts in other color options. 9” inseam is perfect for me and love the cell phone pocket. Belt loops are great. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars on durability is I haven’t had them long enough to know how durable they are.
