PVC non-metallic fittings can be used with Sch. 40 and Sch. 80 rigid non-metallic conduit (RNC). Designed for use above ground and underground as described in the NEC. fittings insure raceway integrity. Unlike metallic systems, non-metallic fittings are lighter, can be installed in less time and are easily fabricated on the job. Fittings are nonconductive assuring a safe system. Resistant to sunlight and listed for exposed or outdoor usage, Non-metallic PVC fittings are durable and will not rust or corrode.

The 1 inch PVC Male Non-Metallic Terminal Adapter is designed for use with Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 rigid non-metallic conduit. It has male threads at 1 end and a socket end at the other and the adapter is made with PVC. I always use PVC when I can for safety because it does not conduct electricity. PVC is also easer to use and will not rust. I use this to thread into PVC junction boxes and then can glue PVC pipe into.
