I just installed 2x4 Celium tiles in my basement ceiling. Do these come in 2x4 or just 2x2?
Ceilume's Soniguard Drop Ceiling Insulation is only available in 2x2 pieces. You'll need to install 2 pieces on each 2x4 ceiling tile. If you have any additional questions, please give Ceilume a call at 800-557-0654. We're here Monday - Friday from 6:00 am - 4:30 pm PST.

Can this be used with your vinyl Stratford 2x4 tiles?
Absolutely. Soniguard Drop Ceilume Insulation was made with the Stratford ceiling tiles in mind. Soniguard is meant to sit on top of Ceilume's ceiling tiles and raises the Stratford's NRC from .25 by itself to .50 when Soniguard is placed on top of the Stratford. For a 2x4 tile, you'll want to use 2 pieces of Soniguard placed side by side.
Does this tile also absorb the sound or just block the sound
Ceilume's Soniguard Drop Ceiling Insulation is made from nonwoven, thermally-bonded polyester fibers that absorb sound energy to reduce sound within the space and keep some sound from passing on to adjacent spaces. How thick are they?
Soniguard Drop ceiling insulation is precut to 24" x 24" x 1.5" (nominal). The Soniguard insulation is compressed tightly for shipping efficiency so when taken out of the box will be compressed to less than 1" thick but expands back to it's normal thickness within 24-48 hrs. The Soniguard is meant to sit on top of a ceiling tile to provide additional acoustic and thermal insulation; it can not be installed as a stand-alone ceiling tile.
What are these panels made of? Are they fire proof? You say class A, will they melt or what?
Ceilume's Soniguard Drop Ceiling Insulation is made from a thermally bonded non-woven polyesther fibers. They are Class A fire rated which is the highest rating possible for fire-resistant building materials. It indicates that the material has a flame spread index of 25 or lower and a maximum smoke development rating of 450. These ratings measure how likely the material is to spread flames and how much smoke it produces when it burns. It is important to note that a Class A fire rating does not mean something is "fire proof"; when exposed to a big enough flame, the material will eventually burn.

7 ft. to 12 ft. Adjustable Lag Pole
This Lag Pole is used to install the lag screws and wire to hang suspended ceiling grid from the overhead. You will be able to install lag screws and hanger wire from the ground in one motion. No scaffolding or ladder is needed. Use with any 3/8 in. or 1/2 in. drill.

Eye lag toggle assemblies are primarily used for overhead applications and hanging suspended ceiling wire. Using a drill with a 5/8 in. bit, a hole is drilled into the plaster, clay tile or other hollow substrate. Winged end is inserted through drywall, acoustical tile, etc. and expands behind the surface while the 1/4 in. x 1-1/4 in. fender washer and hex nut secure the anchor on the exterior of the hole.
