What are the tolerances of the outside and inside diameter?

According to the ASTM standards, the tolerances for type L would be .0015 for drawn copper. The wall thickness tolerance is .005.

The cut off 4 ' copper pipes in stock, kept me from having to buy an 8' pipe. The ends were not bent up and was ready to install as I needed. Important thing here when soldering copper so to CLEAN the joints to keep from having a pin hole leak.

This item and a very similar pipe are always offered...
This item and a very similar pipe are always offered next to each other in the store. One is thicker and the other is thinner. I think one is for actual sink repair and the other is for heating use/. Of course the two types get mixed together and you end up with the thinner when you want the heavier pipe. Should be more differentiation so this doesn't happen.
