Product Overview

This 600-Volt, grounded, jacketed NM-B cable wire from Cerrowire is used primarily in residential wiring, including branch circuits for outlets, switches, etc. It can be installed in both exposed and concealed work in normally dry locations and in air voids of masonry block or tile walls that are not subject to excessive moisture or dampness. It can also be installed in locations with temperatures up to 90°C but with the ampacity limited to that of 60°C conductors. The added circuit is for use primarily in residential wiring for branch circuits supplying outlets located in bedrooms and other areas.

COULD BE INSTALLED UNDERGROUND W/O PVC PIPE?

I would not recommend it as this is not listed for underground use. UF cable would be the preferred method for direct burial.

I had to run circuits from the panel in the basement to the Master bedroom and master bath, running 14/3 saved me time and money. Also had to run a circuit to the front and rear gutter heaters. Having the outer sheathing color coded makes it easy to identify the different circuits and amps. I also need to run several circuits to the other side of my 28 x 40’ garage I’ll be building as soon as the weather breaks . There will be two separate 15 amp circuits and two separate 20 amp circuits. I’ll be pulling it though 2” PVC conduit with a couple of bends and don’t want to have two 14/2 wires and two 12/2 wires, plus it’ll be easier to pull just the two wires instead of four and it’s more cost effective. Once I get to the other side, I’ll then pull to the individual boxes.

Nice, unusually slippery NM-B wire in 14-3 (white, red, black insulated conductors plus a ground). Sheathing slits easily. The package and jacket is marked UL and NM-B, so it should be good to go. This wire uses their "SLiPWire" technology to make pulling wire easier - the jacket has a self-lubricating polymer that they say saves "time labor and cost" for installation by avoiding having to use separate lubricant. You don't normally need to put NM-B wire in a conduit, but the times when you would need to do so (to protect it from damage), this would pull easily.

The Cerro wire is a great choice for any job. This blue one is a 14 gage three conductor with a bare ground, each different color is a different gage wire and different conductor count. The color coding helps a lot when your running many different strands for different purposes. The wire was easy to strip and nice and pliable to work with. The three conductor is great for separate switched circuits or one hot and one switched with a common neutral. It is also perfect for a two switch common lighting set up. If you were wiring a whole house the different color jackets would be a great time saver, I just removed a few old lamp cord circuits in the attic from the previous tenant and brought them up to code.

This Cerromax 250 ft. 14/3 Light Blue NM-B Wire is great to use indoor for your electric plugs or switches. Very nice colored wire for inspectors to look for when doing wiring inside your home. Going to come in handy because I would like to have a couple more plugs in my bathroom all I have right now is one and I need more. Package tells where you can use the wire and what to use it on.

This is another science improvement in wiring that I give a thumbs up to. CerroMax is NM-B wiring with SLiPWire which they say allows you to work "smarter not harder." After a few pulls, I find two benefits of CerroMax SLiPWire - 1) it works; the wire does have "slip" which makes it easier to pull. And 2) the wire's sheathing is plasticized making it more pliable and easier to bend. CerroMax has decided to color code their 14-3 wiring blue to distigish from 14-2 (white). I like white for all 14 wire, so could take or leave the blue coloring. Note - new wiring should only be pulled by licensed electricians or those working under their supervision.

This CerroMax 14-3 w/ Ground is excellent wire for new and old projects. It pulls easily, and the 3 insulated conductors are ideal for light and fan circuits. It is high quality and easy to work with. The unique colors make it easy to identify from other wires in the structure. The 250 foot roll is large enough to last for many projects, and is pretty heavy. Great wire!

This is just standard electrical wiring for residential and light commercial business. It has the same dimensions that are essential for the transfer of the electrical current from the power source to the device being used. The only difference us the color of the wire casing [the outer sheeting layer]. The 14/3 wire is a light cyan or blue in color compared to the white it was before, only used to identify it as being a 3 wire conductor instead of a 2 wire conductor.

CERROMAX 250 ft. 14/3 Light Blue NM-B Wire feels like it is a quality product. The one thing that makes this wire stand out from the others is the color coding. Old pros can quickly glance at a length of wire and tell you what size it is. I just don't have that experience and it can be aggravating at times to find the label in poor light or when it's been rubbed off. I appreciate the fact that I can look at the wire and know the size just by the color. This prevents me from making the mistake of bringing the wrong size to the site when splicing runs together and makes it easy for the inspector to identify my work being up to code. It claims to have SLiPWire technology to make it easier to pull. Maybe I didn't encounter the right scenario but nothing stood out to me that made me think it was any easier to run. Stripping the wire was easy and required little effort with no stretching of the insulation as some cheap wire does. I like to keep my money at home and unfortunately could not find anywhere on the package that told me where it was manufactured.

Just when I got used to referring to ROMEX more like a generic term for NM wire, along comes CerroMax NM-B wire. A 14/3 wire that that lays flat like a 14/2, but gives you the advantage of being suitable for three way switch and split outlet circuits, where one side of a duplex receptacle is always on, while the other is controlled by a switch. CerroMax's new SLiPWire technology also makes the wire easier to pull, while the light blue color help to identify it at a glance. All in all, this wire lays flat and straight, bends easily and strips clean, helping to make my work look neat.

This is a giant roll of 14/3 wire. 14/3 is typically used for wiring 3-way switches for household lighting. What I like about this wire is its blue color. That helps differentiate it from the regular 14/2 wires. I also found it to pull easily through ¾ inch conduit. 250 feet should provide enough for any home user, as well as to keep a professional stocked up.
