Rail bar bends when the door is closed. And chain hangs down 2~3 inches below the rail. Is this normal? When the door is opened/opening, bar is straight and chain is well above the bottom rail. But when it's closed, the bar bends little bit makes the chain to hang down 2~3 inches below bottom rail. I tried to adjust little bit so it bends as little as possible; will this damage the rail or even the hinges on the wall that holds the bar? Is this normal? or is my set up wrong? Bending is some what minimal though.

OMG - our self-threading screws pulled out and disconnected the opener bracket from the door itself, at which point we saw that the bend in the rail was completely gone. But also we saw that the position the bracket HAD been in was way lower than where it now comfortably reached!! SO whether the adjustment could have been made well enough in the control on the motor, or what we don't know. But we shortened the L-shaped arm and created new screw holes to attach the bracket to the garage door up higher and - voila! - NO MORE BEND in the rail at all! It fits perfectly, up or down. I wanted to suggest that the manufacturer might alter their instructions to say specifically to do that in the first place!

I INSTALLED MY GARAGE OPENER AND IT OPENED WITH EASE BUT STOPPED ABOUT HALFWAY WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE IT AT A LOSS PLEASE HELP SENSORS ARE ALIGNED PROPERLY
Asked by: Jim
Lubricate the tracks and rollers with spray on lithium grease and put chain lubrication on the chain. Make sure the door will roll up and down manually before you try the opener again. You will need to lubricate these parts on a regular basis. Check your manual for how often.

You will need to purchase the additional track and chain unless you add blocks to your header and build it out like I did to make it work. Overall, pretty easy to install and set up. So far working fine.

Installation took a bit longer than expected but its been 20 years since I installed one, added time is on me I believe. Works well, should had read the instructions more completely to start as outlined. All in all not a bad project for two people, end result the garage door goes up and down at the push of a button. Very pleased with my purchase.

I looked flimsy compared to my old one. I followed the easy to follow instructions and with the help of my son, in a. Couple of hours we had the old one down and this one installed and it works great. The drive is half chain and half cable which I believe is what makes it much quieter than my old chain drive opener. It is very easy to adjust. The remote has a long range. My old one I had to be 3 or 4 houses away for it to work. This one probably has 4 to 5 times the range. I've had it a couple of months now and have no issues with it. I like it much better than my old Chamberlain.
