Look at the learn button on your old garage door opener. If it is yellow then your remotes and keypad will work. If it is any other color then they won't. Sometimes is more economical to buy a better model of opener that comes with the accessories you need instead of a less expensive opener and then have to add the extra stuff.

New door opener went up fairly easily... a few things to note: Even though you think the old wall button may operate the door, it may not work (or work for very long). The tech support line is extremely helpful! The newer units all use a full chain design as opposed to the older replacement that was not. This seems like a better design to me. The opener is working perfectly now. HD has a great price on the unit too!

I was just replacing the motor. It took like about a half hour to do it. On my old garage door motor you had to wrap the wiring around screws to connect it, on the new one the wires are to be pushed in little holes with a small clamp. Tightening the chain can be a bit tricky, also you can set the door to open more or less. I won on this one a garage door company wanted around five hundred bucks to do the job and I had to purchase the motor from them.

Very easy to install, works like a charm. This is an excellent purchase for the price point. The only recommendation I would make is to purchase the same model with two remote openers.

Don't buy
Don't buy this garage door opener; while it was fairly easy to assemble and install, it had a key Manufacturing issue. After installing this opener it did not work, I removed the cover and found the interior wiring was not connected. I reconnected wiring and the opener work fine. I should not have to open the case and reconnect wiring that should have been done in manufacturing. I did not return this item because I had already done all the work to assemble and install. I was also told by Home Depot staff that my 2011 Chamberlain garage door opener remote would open this new device, it did not, I'm currently trying to contact Chamberlain to find out why.

I purchased two of this model to replace my 20+ year old garage openers from a different brand. Based on the review of other users, I decide to keep the original T-bar/pulley, fearing the new rail will sag due to its sectional structure. Two holes were drilled on the T-bar to mount the opener. The opener is a little short from my mounting bracket to the T-bar so additional slotted angle and tube were used to fix the hanging issue. Also the new chain needed to be cut short to accommodate the shorter T-bar. The opener connects with the home link in my 2013 car but not my older 2004 one. Thought about purchasing a bridge but elected for additional remote. A little disappointed that the home link is not backward compatible. Overall, this garage door opener is worth every penny. Yes, I will definitely recommend this product.
