Hi Duane, currently we do not integrate with Alexa. We understand some customers would like to integrate with Alexa, and we are working on a number of partnerships.

SO love this gadget! This is connected with the MyQ system, which is made by Chamberlain. We already had the Chamberlain garage door opener hooked up, which we needed to purchase some extra item that we hook to our wifi- not sure if that is required to use this, but when we plugged the device into the wall, and plugged a lamp into it, we were able to search for it's signal on the app, that we already had on our phones, and we were able to turn the lamp on and off, just like we can open and close the garage door, from the same app. it even tells you how long the light has been on or off. You can even set up a schedule to turn it on and off when you're away, but we haven't gotten that far yet...

I ordered this MyQ Remote Lamp Control because we are away from one or the other of our homes for several months at a time and I didn't want to have to depend on a lamp timer like we've done in the past. The problem with timers is that if the power goes off, the time gets messed up and then the lamp is coming on in the middle of the day or the night instead of when you wanted it to. Also, it comes on and goes off at pretty much the same time every evening. With this MyQ Remote Lamp Control by Chamberlain, I can turn the lamp on or off anytime I want to using the MyQ app on my smart phone. It took me several tries to get the lamp control to communicate with the MyQ Smart Garage Hub that I had installed. I finally had to join the Chamberlain MyQ Community so I could ask a question about what I was doing wrong. Kudos to the Chamberlain support folks who posted a quick reply after which in just a few minutes I had the lamp control working like a charm. The reason I gave this only three stars is because you have to buy a $70 to $100 hub or wifi adapter to get the lamp control to talk to your smart phone. I looked at Leviton Decora Smart lamp controls at about the same price as this MyQ lamp control that don't require a separate hub: they connect directly to your wifi router with the Leviton app. Also, the instructions for connecting the MyQ lamp control to the hub are rather confusing and lacking in sufficient detail to easily set it up. Setting up a schedule to turn the lamp on and off at certain times is relatively easy though a bit clunky in that you have to create a separate schedule to turn it on and another schedule to turn it off. If you need the garage door control that the Chamberlain Smart Garage Hub provides, then adding this MyQ lamp control is an easy upgrade. Due to the age and make of my garage door opener, I was not able to utilize the garage door control features of the smart hub at this time, so the simpler Leviton lamp control may have been a better choice for me.

More than expected. I got it to work from 3 different openers. We connected 2 LED lights to it and now there is plenty of light to back the car into the garage.

Flawless product
I have owned this from day one... Yes...day one! It has worked flawlessly ever since. I actually y use it to control led lights under my pool table, kinda a night-light! Love it! If it shuts off according to the schedule I set, and I want to keep it on longer I just manually hit the button, then tap the button to shut it down.. next day.. schedule works perfect! My only issue is.. more products are needed! Thank you MyQ!

Although I was surprised the Lamp Control works through the garage door hub instead of directly with the app, it functions exactly like it is supposed to. As long as your smartphone had internet access, the scheduling works great. But if you miss a trigger, you can just use the app to make up for it.

Does not follow scheduled on and off periods
For some reason this device will not follow the scheduled on off pattern I have programmed. Very often I come down in the morning at 05:30 and the light is off, even though the schedule is set for it to come on at 05:15 everyday. And in the evening, it is set to come on when it gets dark and 18:00, but quite often it misses the turn on period.I'm beginning to wonder if it loses time somehow. I have to turn it on manually with the button and then it will keep to it's schedule for maybe a day before going wrong again. I can't understand why it does it. I'm assuming that the timing comes from my phone via the app. but what real time clock is being used for the turn on and off times? It kinda sucks actually.
