Great Opener!
Bought this opener to replace a 17 year old Liftmaster chain driven one. Installation was straightforward and relatively easy. I used the Bilt app and typed in the model number and it walks you through the installation step by step with 3D graphics and voice. The only down side of the installation was that we had to have an outlet installed since we didn't have one near the opener. It connected to our network first try with the MyQ app. Super quiet and works great so far. Would recommend.

The app doesn’t work
Specifically bought this opener to be able to control it from my phone. The garage light is not sinced to the opener as it’s supposed to be, which means the app doesn’t work to open or close. The only way to “fix” it is to schedule a qualified installer service.
I will say it’s quiet and operates smooth, and installation was fairly easy, but I could have installed a cheaper opener that didn’t have an app instead of being forced to pay for service out of the box.

Chamberlain Wall Mount Direct Drive Garage Door Opener
The Chamberlain Wall Mount Direct Drive Garage Door Opener was an easy DIY install. It operates well as designed with home Wi-Fi and connected devices. It's more practical, for me, than the traditional chain/belt garage door openers. Overall, I'm very happy with the unit.

A piece of expensive junk
I installed this wall mount garage door opener and it worked for only 2 years. On the day it failed, it opened for only half way up then the garage door suddenly dropped to the floor and stopped working. Chamberlain said the motor had failed and they sent me a new motor to install. The motor installation job was not easy for the average person and it took me over 3 hours for installation. The garage door opener still didn't work. Chamberlain then said the logic board failed and they sent me a new logic board to install. The garage door opener still didn't work after the new logic board was installed. I would avoid buying this wall mount garage door opener because it is expensive and Chamberlain only warranty the parts for you to repair it yourself instead of sending you a new garage door opener.

Great door opener
Just had a detached garage built and decided to go with this opener to keep ceiling space for storage. Install was an easy 1 person job. Instructions are a bit weak. If you use the big sheet of installation instructions, it stops before the programming stage. You must then use the booklet that came with it. I thought I had a bad unit. The left blinking codes said I had a bad control board when it wouldn't work. Come to find out I hadn't done the limit programming yet. After that, works great!

Get it!
This opener is fantastic. Powerful, discrete design, WiFi enabled, app controlled, built-in battery backup, camera capable. If I had one complaint, I wish the wall control panel was wireless. Meets every need.

overpriced garbage
3 months in, had to re program the travel time over 20 times. reconnect to internet over 10 times. overall garbage. don't waste your money.

Ultra quiet
The Chamberlain is even more quiet than my previous Ryobi opener. I'm super happy with the quality and now the garage ceiling is free from the old opener. The light that's included is super bright. I bought a second one for additional coverage.

Works perfect with a lift!
I installed a hydraulic lift in my garage (with 10' ceiling) but then discovered the ceiling mounted garage door opener limited how high a car could be raised. Worse than that, I raised my restored MGA to just below the opener, then opened the door. The bent arm that connects the door to the ceiling track struck the rear deck of the car!! I've since removed the entire assembly and installed this wonderful wall-mounted door opener. Easy to install. 2 hours. And here a wiring tip: To make the connection to the wall switch use the old wires that terminate in the middle of the ceiling. Then connect those ceiling wires to then newly unused wires to the former light sensor at the bottom of the track. Now you're within 7' of the new opener for the wall switch wiring.
Great product! About time technology caught up with construction details!
But now I' spoiled and intend on installing the same unit on the other door.
