NO, Spark plugs are never pre-gapped. The gap can change during rough packaging; so never trust that. Besides, gaps for the same plug can be different for different applications. Examples: Briggs & Stratton .030, automotive .028 to .045
The ad is in error. They have pictured a 71ECO plug but describe what you might get; an RC...YC plug. The will both work in your equipment but are vastly different in their performance characteristics. The RC plug has been upgraded three times; the first upgrade was the EZ start 5071, the 2nd upgrade was also a 71..... something, the 3rd upgrade is the ECO Clean 71ECO. The upgrades are all high performance plugs [faster starting, utilizes higher voltage when needed, and burns cleaner]; a far superior plug. They cost about double but last twice as long. If you get an ECO plug for 4.99 you ARE getting a deal. My guess is you will just receive and older RC plug. The newer plugs are designed to look and perform like the newer automotive Platinum and Iridium spark plugs [without the precious metals]. These use nickle & copper.
5/8" standard
If using the desktop version, the page for this item tells you where it is located in your closest store, mine being "Aisle 31, Bay EC2". trying checking the desktop version for your specific stores location if you have not already done so.
Re: Zerep, Enfield, CT on October 15, 2020, You said: “Check what gap the manufacturer specifies in the user's manual.” I was not asking what tools I would need, how to check or adjust the gap on a spark plug or how to do it. If the RC12YC is already pre-gapped at .030in. that is all the info I would have needed (thanks but no thanks).
Yes, the RC12YC is the correct standard, original plug for your D110. But be aware that it will NOT be an ECO-CLEAN spark plug. The ECO-CLEAN plugs are the 3rd upgrade from the RC12YC plugs. The ECOs are high performance plugs that do cost more. Maybe double or so. The description is an error. T'care, Mike
..............Sorry. I forgot to finish. The spark plug gap remains the same. In my case, Briggs and Stratton, the gap is .030 regardless of the plug you are using. T'care...again!
An online search says you’ll need the Champion RC12MC4. I’m not an expert.
after making sure the gap is correct & the plug is fully seated, you could use a spark plug tester (very inexpensive and easy to use)
You need to find a crossover chart to see. Is this one no longer available by Champion or do you want another brand?
