Questions & Answers

Does this grill take a rotiseerie?

I know some models you can use a universal rotiseerie on but not sure about this one.
Asked by: jlshawaz
Yes. There is a cutout on the sides of the grill that accommodate the rotisserie.

I don't need to burn 4 burners together.. Can I just use any 1 or 2 or 3 as I choose each time I want to ??

If I can do this, do I light the first one that has the ignighter and light each next one in the line up to get to the last one and then shut the others off ??
Asked by: Chucky2
Yes you can use one or all four burners at once. Once you light the main burner turn on the all the burners ones there lit, just shut of the ones you don't want to use.

Does this have a searing (infared?) burner or feature ?

Asked by: JoeW
No. There is no infrared option on this model. That's the next model up.

How well does this grill stand up to the wind??

I live in a windy area & am looking for a grill that can withstand it... NOT blow out & lose a ton of heat right away. Any suggestions or recommendations? I really like the look of this grill... I need 3-4 burners to feed my large family...
Asked by: BeddS1013
Keep the grill on the leeward side of some large object to counter the wind; even a large SUV would do but not too close. If you are grilling in an open space then keep the lid closed. When you need to peer inside lower the gas pressure or turn the burners off. Then you can assess your items, restart or readjust the gas flow.

Classic 4-Burner Stainless Steel Propane Gas Grill is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 123.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent Grill for the price I got this grill a year ago and have taken pretty good care of it, however, the grates and some other parts are already starting to rust. I generally use my Weber charcoal grill but use this Char-Broil a few nights out of the week when I want to just throw some veggies, burgers hot dogs, etc... on for a quick meal. The only major complaint I have it that you MUST keep this grill clean. There is no removable tray to remove the old grease so flareups can occur often. I'll generally clean the grates and diffuser's then use my shop vac and a putty knife to clean the bottom tray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Grill for Inexpensive Price. This grill works great. It gets up to temp extremely fast so it's great to get the pre-heating started and grill up to temp. Compared to the Weber Summit S-420 4 burner grill, the warranty isn't as long but Weber's price is $1500! This is definitely worth $200. You could replace it seven times over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Outdoor Gas Grill A little difficult to put together. Took longer than the 20 minutes that the instructions cited. A little more than an hour, but worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Riblets to die for I have owned Char-Broil Grills for years. My last Char-Broil I had 17 years. This new grill is the best grill I have ever used. I like being able to cook on the grill and cook different stuff at different flames. I made riblets last weekend with baked potatoes, and corn on the cob. My wife said they were the most tender riblets that she has ever had and told me to not change a thing. I love the cast iron grates and being able to control the flames in different areas on the grill. I like being able to put on a pot on the side burner. I like the fact of not having any heat inside the house. The neighbor tried cooking riblets on his new grill using my recipe and they were brunt and dry...He is unable to control the flame like a Char-Broil... He spent $130.00 more and has less grilling surface and no cast iron grates....He should have asked me....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall nice grill Grill is great with a couple minor complaints. The grates could be larger as to fill the area they sit in a little better (or be fastened in place). When I clean them with a brush or even have to move items I am grilling around, the grates move. When cleaning they bang around. Not a big deal, but fit could be better. The small screws that help attach the side tray/burner are very difficult to get to and screw in. Takes a bit of elbow grease. The pan that diverts the grease to the grease cup is not very sloped or has some other issue. Unfortunately for me, I grill in my driveway that has a slight slope to it. Granted this is not the grills fault and is probably not recommended, but the grease drains to where the base attaches and flows down the legs to my pavement. Obviously, I need to be on a totally flat surface, but it's surprising such a small angle creates this problem. As far as the good goes, the grates are nice quality and the burners work well. The temp gauge seems pretty accurate. Well constructed and a good purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Classic Mistake Bought this grille 2 years ago and now all three inside burners have corroded out to the point of being not useful. Would recommend trying something made in USA because Chinese metal does not last.

I turned it on an this baby was ready to grill. Very easy to put together. I picked it up in a box from the store after ordering online. Great customer service as always from my home depot guys. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phoenatic's View Went to gas from charcoal, Nothing against charcoal but takes to long to get going and a waste when food is done it continues to burn and you have to throw it away the only downsides, anyway friends say go to gas so I did and I must say I'm glad I did it's quicker and no waste of fuel. I bought the Classic from the Home Depot very happy about that.
