I’ve had the grilled for about a week. Assembly was easy, the only awkward piece to attach was the handle. You’ll need something with a 90 degree handle to fit in a tight place. Since the legs are pretty short I used 1.25 conduit pipe to raise the grill to 3ft so no more bending over. I grilled on it several times and only smoked ribs on it so far and I’ve been impressed with it. Once you get used to the airflow valves you can hold a steady temp for a long time. Very happy with this budget friendly Komodo style grill.

Love this little grill/smoker. Great for a small family. I’ve both grilled and smoked. Both went perfectly. This little unit is frugal with the charcoal as well. If you’re looking to use this as an everyday grill, you’ll need to figure a way to set it up with a cart or table since the legs are short. Best purchase of the year.

I haven't used it yet, but I like The concept this unit and general design. However, the it took me about 2 hours to assemble this thing, with use of a drill press and extra tools. My skill level is that of a amateur carpenter/handy man. The issues are thus: (1) the handle cannot be screwed into the lid as the handle side assumes the screw holes are parallel, whereas the dome is not--I solved this by widening the hole in the handle and forcing the screw in...and/or by screwing in only one bolt out of two on each side. This helps, but there's limited space to work with. (2) The lid does not align easily, or at all, with the bottom half. There's some wiggle room, but it was insufficient. I solved this by using a washer as a spacer to get it aligned. (3) I noticed bare steel inside. I think, during manufacturing they must have scraped it against something and it got missed in QA/QC because I also noticed another ding/paint chip that was painted over. (4) The vent at the top does not slot in all the way such that the rubber gasket will still show at the top (i'm also not sure if it's suppose to slot in all the way), but regardless, the tabs underneath the dome where it connects is flexible and if you screw the top vent too tight you end up cracking the paint and bending the tab. So be careful there. All in all, I think it will work well for me. None of my complaints above really affect the performance of the unit, but is very annoying--I wouldn't recommend buying this unit unless you have the know how to mitigate the poor QA/QC or is okay with a the potential issues i mentioned. I also did not recommend this product because I don't believe buyers should have to go through this on any product--ever. You can't beat the price though! Especially compared to the green egg or kamado joe.

The grill was great for smoking meat and can easily handle 8 to 9 lbs. pork shoulder roast. Easy to dial-in and use, but don't expect longevity. My next purchase is going to be a good quality ceramic Kamado smoker/grill. Warranty doesn't cover ashpan, so ceramic Kamado is better value in the long/short run.

We love this little grill! It does everything... grilling, smoking & baking! Makes the best calzones, pizzas & cinnamon dough! We bought the Smokin' Stone as well, was well worth the money... we use it for smoking as well as baking... Crusts come out wonderful right on top of it! We bought this grill for camping, but we also use it all the time at home, even though we have a larger grill.. this one is our "go to"! Every single thing we've made with this grill has come out amazing!

This is the perfect size for us. Two weeks in, we've grilled something almost every day The temperature is easily controlled and maintained using the top and bottom vents and it's very easy to clean. I just ordered the Smokin' Stone Jr and looking forward to usIng it as a pizza stone!

Straight out of the box and the first part of assembly was attaching the lid to the body. The lid does not align with the body and therefor does not close properly. I am afraid that it is not sealing on one side and will not work properly. I sure wish I had not purchased this grill. I was looking for a bargain, and I should know that you get what you pay for.

Well built except the latches that holds the ash catcher were very loose. This made for a very leaky kamado that couldn't hold low temps. I had to take off the hooks and bend them with needle-nose pliers to get a tight seal. Other than that I am in love with this thing.

Light and compact. Suits myself and my partner perfectly. My only wish is that they made a cart for it so it could stand up higher instead of having to bend down, but otherwise it is great. 1 chimney of charcoal gets it to 300 degrees.
