Perfect fit
I had bought this cover in hopes that it would cover my new Double play BBQ and it fit perfect, I bought the side box accessories for the smoker and the cover was made to expand over the side box for a perfect fit. It covers the entire grill it well made not cheap material and thick. I am very happy with the cover!!

We bought this grill to accommodate those grilling needs where time matters. The gas grill for those moments where we needed something quickly cooked like hot dogs, metts and brats, and the smoker side to accommodate those low and slow grilling meats like Rump Roast, Brisket, and a slab of Pork ribs. Although the assembly was long and arduous, the outcome I am very pleased with. Even after being covered during the evening, I have noticed a few small rust spots on the hinges of the firebox side smoker. However, the food has been outstanding. I've been missing out on how fantastic a good piece of smoked meat tastes like. I find myself grilling out more often now. I've been using a combination of lump coal, briquettes and hickory splits for the fire. I love using my chimney smoker starter, it fits perfectly on the side burner to get the coals going; no starter paper or brush needed! Overall I am very satisfied, especially considering the price ($348 at Home Depot). You get a lot of grill for the money, and great tasting food to boot!

Covers my grill, perfectly. Keeps my grill dry. I don't have the smoker on my grill but if I were to add it, there's an extension on the grill cover to accommodate an added smoker. The extension on the cover is collapsed in and fastened via a velcro.

I got this as a gift for my fiance. He loves the ability to choose which method of cooking to use. Now I think he is getting more excited to use the smoker. It's a great addition to our home and it is easy for me to use as well since I am not a charcoal cooking pro.

I am very pleased with this product. This grill is built well and heavy so I don't have to worry about the Idaho wind blowing it around. I purchased the Char-Griller smoker box (part #22424) for this grill and had to drill some holes and build some spacers for the box to connect correctly. So, don't plan on a clean install even though it states it will accept this smoker box. I like the options of cooking with gas, charcoal, or wood and have used all three. I was also pleased with the cover I purchased which fits models 5050 with or without the smoker box attached. And, I was very pleased with the price of this grill as compared to others.

I've only had the cover for 2 weeks but it was much tougher than I thought it would be. The Velcro closures are must helpful in keeping it tight around the grill. Very pleased so far.TJW

Dissatisfied!
Don't get me wrong I love the grill (with the exception that after a year and a half the heat diffusers directly above the flame are completely rusted even through the rest of the grill is not), but the cover sucks! The openings that cover the flues are barely big enough to cover them and consequently get stuck all of the time when removing the cover, and now that the cover has been protecting my grill all winter the dry rot on this cover is unbelievable! I can't take the cover off with out catching the flues and ripping the cover to shreds. Unfortunately I have to either buy this cover because there really aren't any options for universal covers out there that are long enough to cover the smoker box that attaches to the side. If they would infuse some UV resistant material into the cover it would last way longer and might actually be worth the 40 bucks they charge for the thing!
