AnswersGood afternoon. The Rotisserie 5022 will work on the Triple Play. The 36" spit rod will work on one side or the other. There is also a 53" spit rod available that would span both barrels. Thank you.

This was a challenge to point together, not technically but time consuming. It's worth it. I've smoked a couple items on it so far and they have turned out excellent. The smoker tends to run hot but it's manageable, just pay attention and mind the vents and you'll be fine. I use smoking wood that's been soaked in water so it smokes longer. I use exclusively mesquite lump charcoal for the heat/fuel because it burns long and is easy to replenish if needed. The gas side is very consistent in its heat, no cold spots at all. I haven't used the side burner yet but it lights quickly on the first try. The grates are easy to keep clean and durable. Totally worth the money to have all the outdoor cooking options.

Looks nice but doesn't last
Would be a nice grill, if it were made to hold up. Can't find a cover that fits, when the side smoker is attached. Smoker began rusting almost immediately, so it has always made the grill look less appealing. Inside of gas grill rusted/burnt out very quickly and is caving in. We purchased it new and have only had it a little over 2 years.

I bought this thinking it had all the things I wanted. The Grill arrived and I had an installer come to assemble it. The grill itself was good although I haven't used it yet. My problem was the smoker which was defective. The part where the grill slides in was defective which caused a gap on the outside. In addition, the screws to attach the smoker to the grill were too small causing the smoker to slant. When I say slant I mean it looks terrible.
Forget about trying to call Home depot to get a rep on the line to help you. I had to call the 800 number four times as the options where limited and really didn't fit my issue. Twice I got no answer and once I had an open line before finally getting someone who told me to call in the morning because it was late. AMAZING!

I've had mine for 5+ years now and really enjoy using it. I am a die-hard griller/smoker and use it year round multiple times per week. It is starting to rust and will need to replace it for next year. After reading some of the comments, I will provide some feedback. It's not that hard to assemble, it took me a couple of hours by myself. The firebox is fine if you install it correctly, you don't need additional supports. I have no issues maintaining the heat with the smoker box using charcoal and chunks of wood, it does take a few times using it to understand what you need to do. I smoke whole pork shoulders 13-14 hours, turkey, and lot's of other meats. I am disappointed that on the new model they eliminated the tray for utensils, spices,etc and no wire shelf under the grill boxes. When I get the new one I will take the tray from my existing grill and attach to the new one and add the rack. Overall I have been very pleased with the grill and recommend it highly.

Lots of space and options for the price. Once fully assembled it's kind of tricky to move, with the Firebox installed it almost feels like you're going to bend or rip it off the grill, (that won't happen though because it is well secured with multiple bolts). I've had the grill for about a month now and tried it out several times. For a newbie like me getting into smoking/charcoal has been difficult to maintain a constant heat so I actually bought an addditional propane burner and installed it in the firebox to use to maintain a more consistent heat. I wish a basket, shelf or something would have been built in either underneath the grill or in some other location to add storage space as well as additional stability when transporting. You can definitely cook a lot of food for partys and events with this setup.

The Char-Griller Triple Play is a great deal for the price. Installation was fairly simple and the instructions were easy to follow. Having both a gas and charcoal option is the only way to go - and the offset smoker box is just an added bonus! With everything installed it does take up some space, so ensure you have the room, and remember to keep it away from your house or other structures when burning wood or coal - it does put off some heat. I recommend some minor modifications to keep the smoke in - like some high-temp gasket tape and maybe some high-temp silicon to seal between the smoker and cooking chamber. Also, worth the extra few bucks to invest in some additional temperature gauges in the cooking chamber - just my two cents.

We have loved this smoker/grill combo, and can’t wait for our weather to thaw so we can get it back out. My husband and oldest son have smoked pork butt and ribs (on separate occasions), and we’ve used the propane grilling feature multiple times. It took them a few hours to build, but they enjoyed it as a bonding time. Our family would highly recommend this product!
