So i would have to hire a good electrician instead of just plugging this into to a 110/120 outlet? As i have never heard of 277 volt anything.
Asked by: brucewayne
This unit will require a new circuit with a minimum capacity of 277 volts at 30 amps to operate the water heater. An professional electrician will be required to install it. Mike

First I want to apologize for not getting back to you sooner. It appears your question was asked four months ago but it was only sent to me today. As to your question open up the PDF of specification sheet found under info and guides. There you find performance matrix’s base on different incoming water temps. The colder the incoming water the more heat it will absorb the less capacity you will in gallons per minute. So if you supply this with water that is say 32F or 0 C you may find that it does not heat the water enough to satisfy you needs. For example in my home I can take and endless shower 11 months out of the year. But in February my incoming water is just so cold that I exceed my heaters capacity to add rise after about 30 minutes.
