Montlake Fade Safe Heather Fern 18 in. Contoured Outdoor Seat Cushion

This is larger than I thought once it was in my hands but it is a great quality cushion. I did not get this as padding for a chair necessarily. I got this to take to sporting events but mostly to use while doing work inside and outside for my butt and my knees, whether fixing a fence, yard work, or putting a shelf, cabinet, etc. together. It is much better than sitting or kneeling on cement or a hard floor. It has a removable cover so if I do get it dirty I can wash it. It is comfortable to sit on though!

My new Montflake Round 15-inch Cushion in a beautiful Heather Henna shade has arrived vacuum packed in a 16-inch long roll, compressed similar to how the mattresses are compressed. When you open the plastic bag inside the roll, out comes the cushion in still somewhat compressed state. At that moment you have to act fast as it has to be placed inside its cover while still partially compressed, which makes sense. The instructions state to hold it between your knees while sliding the cover over it. In reality, I did a bit of sliding at first and finally ended up pushing the cushion inside, and in it went, nicely and smoothly. This required a bit of an effort but I was able to do this alone. Then you zip the cover and leave the cushion well alone to take its time to fully decompress and expand. This can take up to 24 hours. The cushion was accompanied by instructions on a couple of pages in several languages; the instructions were clear, with illustrations and easy to understand. I like the way the cushion looks, with its clean minimalistic design and modern appeal. Sturdy, attractive, durable and well crafted, it exceeded my expectations. It is definitely a good quality, full three inches thick as of yet, soft and supportive. At the same time it is lightweight which adds to its portability. There are two adjustable straps, one on each corner, to enable attaching to a chair and keep the cushion in place. The straps are well made; it takes some time to readjust them if necessary which in itself speaks of their durability. The seams on the cover are double stitched and the zipper appears to be a heavy duty and big enough so it’s easy to pull on. Its perfect size of 15 inches diameter, enables to fit quite comfortably in a variety of settings. Dining chair, computer chair, patio chair, you name it. I am going to knit a carry-all bag to bring my new cushion with me wherever I go. It would be great for going to the concerts. Bottom line, I am very pleased with this cushion and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

It came very well packed in a sturdy box, and the cushion itself was flattened and folded down in its own little box. As soon as I pulled it out of the tight fitting plastic bag it was in, it automatically began enlarging to its 18 inc, 3 inch thick size. It was like a sponge soaking up water, only this was memory foam. The cover came folded up in its own little box inside the bigger box. It slid on the cushion quick as a wink. The cushion just fit my wicker chair, and is very comfortable to sit on. It has ties that have a quick release feature on them so you don't have to tie them. The cushion appears very durable, and should last for years.

This is a well made cushion with good strap design. But they do run a little small for what I had in mind. I got this to try on the chairs in a cast aluminum patio set. It was a little small for that. It seems well made and with the right size chair it would be just the thing. I had some steel frame wicker lawn chairs and it fits those perfectly. Looks like it was made for them. It actually turns those moderately comfortable chairs into something a good deal more comfortable. So your value will depend on how tell it fits your needs. I personally liked the kind of earth tone green.

Very well constructed. Strap for easy carrying. Cushion cover is one piece. The rolled up cushion is the other. I was skeptical when I unrolled the cushion and noticed it was a bit flat in the center. However, following instructions, I walked around with the cover and set it down on several types of chairs to see how it might fit. By the time I inserted the cushion into the cover, the cushion had reacted like memory foam, returned to its original even shape. The strap is adjustable so there are several possibilities for transporting it. This cushion found its home, not as a seat cushion, but as a lower back support on an office chair belonging to a tall person. The user loved it!

I am truly excited about this 18 inch contoured seat cushion. It comes packaged neatly complete with unpacking and setup directions. It is made of durable canvas type material. It has a zipper to remove interior padding for easy machine washing. It has straps on each side to clasp to chair. Although it is designed to be used as an outdoors cushion, I am using mine in my computer chair and couldn't be happier.

Really comfortable. It's made with memory foam encased in a fabric and a removable cover goes over the pillow. It is made with a nice durable fabric -- feels like a heavy denim. It is washable and has attachments that can afix to your chair. I tried it on an outdoor patio chair and it was really comfy. Beware that it is quite large so make sure the measurements will fit your seat. I have since used it in my car since I sit too low. Does the trick! I'll probably keep it there.
