Yes, there should be plenty of room, i would put the foam rod in the same time you put the seal in. I dont know what size, but 1/2" should be plenty. I would go with like 20% compression.

I don't believe so. This is for a U shaped gasket with ¼" wide T's on them.

Is this seal the best option for uneven floor or is there a thicker one?

The floor needs to be pretty level for this seal to be effective.

Yes....I would say flexible and easy to manipulate into the bottom of the garage panel. Best if you have another person to help with guiding the seal into the tracks.

My garage door is 9ft will this 9ft length work, everything i have been reading suggestes getting a little longer then folding in to make a good fit.

I used this on a Clopay door (check the label on the door for the brand) that has two T-Tracks, each with a 5/16" inner width. It fit perfectly. It's not easy getting the old weatherseal off. The door should be raised so that the bottom of the door (where the seal is) is in the curve at the top of the vertical part of the door track (the metal track the door rolls up in). That will push the bottom edge of the door toward the outside and give you a straight shot to the seal track on the bottom of the door. It'll be difficult to remove and insert the seal if direct access is blocked by the door track. You may have to find and remove two screens that act to block the seal's movement in the track. If it's been replaced before, you may find that there are several crimps in the seal track to hold it in place. I was unable to uncrimp those. I found it difficult to slide the old seal out of the track. Part of my track was crushed and tighter than the rest of the track. I used vice grips to grab the old seal and pounded on the vice grip with a rubber mallet. I also cut off part of the leading edge of the seal because it seemed to be deformed in a way that may have made removal difficult. But I'm not sure cutting it helped. I didn't find a way to cut the part of the seal in the seal track, so that may not be a good approach. Sliding the new seal into place is easier than removal. You'll have a bit left over for a 9' door. For the excess, I evened the left and right lengths, then cut off just the T-part (the part of the seal that rides in the track). I folded the remaining excess (several inches) back under the door inside the seal. That is supposed to keep the seal from sliding out of the track. I didn't put the two screws back in or crimp the track any more than it already was. The seal does seem to give a good weatherseal.

This doesn’t fit all Clopay doors with the U shaped seal. The “T” on this one is 5/16” wide and some of them(mine) have a ¼” “T” on them. Make sure you have the correct one.

Perfectly restored my old beat-up garage sealer. To use, remove the old one by pulling from one side. Check if the ends were tucked in, then just pull. Clean up the old rails, WD40 them, and just push/pull the new one in. A help from the far end will make the job easier. Leave 2 inches or so extra to tuck in.
